Arsenal just did the bare minimum, they really could have gone up lots of gears and got 4 or 5 goals. Still good result for us, 3 points and better goal difference of 7. Big respect for Luton and their manager. Huge injury list and still playing as best they can. One thing is they have never stopped trying and always play to the last minute.

I find myself with a bit of a dilemma here because, given the amount of cheating and getting away with it that City have done, I'd love them to bottle the league and for us to be part of f***ing it up for them like we did Arsenal last year. But then, I also don't want Arsenal to win because their fan base would be insufferable. But then if City don't win it and Arsenal don't win it, I'm not sure I could take Sky Sports rimming Jurgen Klopp for winning the league in his final season either.

Villa with 4 quick goals and an unbeaten end to season?

Out of the current top 3 I'd prefer Arsenal. Arteta may be a bit of a tit, but he's passionate, and it shows he cares about the club. And I like Saka and Odegaard, especially Saka who is still really young but already one of the best players in the PL and for England.

Liverpool will always generate a wank fest especially as it's Klopp's last season.

As for City for obvious reasons I like Erling but financially they have it on a plate with the backing they have & also the FFP issues which they're increasingly likely to actually get away with, yet the smaller clubs don't, it annoys me really. Plus they ripped the piss out of us with the 6-0 last season.

FFP is designed to stop clubs like Man City as much as us. They're just rich and influential enough to scare the PL, unlike us. We're both the victims of the established cartel so I don't mind at all if they win the league.

Interesting take! I guess the question is, have City been successful enough and for long enough to become part of that cartel?

If the EPL is, essentially, about marketing (which, obviously, it is), when does a club become sexy enough to be considered part of the brand? And how did Spurs get there? Apparently, Newcastle not sexy enough, despite Shearer's efforts ...

Arsenal, Liverpool, ManU obviously big brands in their own right. Chelsea (odious club) seem to be messing it up.

Who else gets a seat at the table, aside from those with previously baked-in PL riches (guessing I've answered my own question re. Spurs)?

Now I think of it, who are the Big 6? Are Villa making moves at the expense of, say, Chelsea?
