So that's the permission for the Peter Taylor stand redevelopment granted. Do we have to go through this again for the rest of the City Ground development, or is today for all of it?
Just for levelling off the dip in the Bridgford End, this is phase#2 but I suspect it will be a few years away.

This approval will take the WFCG to 35k capacity and phase#2 will take it to 38k.

Yes - anything else will have to go through the planning process. Relatively trivial changes shouldn't be an issue, but certainly anything that increases capacity will attract the same bullshit grandstanding.

Now we have permission granted. Work starts at the earliest next summer and the completed PT stand will take the best part of 2 years.
Any further developments will be dependent on if we’re still Premier League and if we’re selling out I presume

Pleased about that. It was bad enough on the Village Hall Committee, how the hell do these people keep turning up for this stuff? Get a life.
This is democracy at work.

it always feels like it could be better, but it would be much worse were it not there at all

Might be an issue unless we buy up the remaining houses at the back of the bridgeford

Nottingham Forest Football Club is delighted at today’s decision of the Rushcliffe Borough Council Planning Committee to uphold the recommendation of its Planning Officers that the Club’s application for planning permission to redevelop the Main Stand on the City Ground site should be approved.

Today’s decision represents a significant landmark in the journey to redevelop the historic City Ground site and represents the culmination of 3 years of dedicated work by the Club and its advisers.

We believe that the development of the site is crucial to maintaining the club’s status in the Premier League and all of the benefits to the local community and economy which this status brings.

The development will also represent the physical manifestation of the desire of the Club’s owner Mr Marinakis to leave a historic legacy at the football Club.

The decision now opens the door to the Club to have detailed discussions with its advisers and partners on how and when the development will be delivered.

These discussions will be undertaken as soon as practicable and the club remains determined to provide the wonderful supporters of the Club with a stadium of which they can be truly proud in the modern era.

House For Sale
Seymour Road.
Pollution could be a problem though.
The saddo i am i googled the house thinking it must back onto the ground or something but its a good 20 minute walk.

Interestingly on street view it looks like they have a double garage (Extension) and a gas guzzling people carrier so clearly don't care that much about pollution!

Does anyone know how many of the houses the club actually does own at this point?

I know we've got at least a couple of the ones towards the north end of Colwick Road, and have used them as digs for the Academy lads, but what's still left to acquire?

Same here. Can you imagine if it’s literally one owner holding up development

I know 5000 doesn't sound like much but it's not just about increasing the capacity. The new main stand will offer much more.

Better hospitality suites on matches.
Conferencing facilities all year round
New club shop(I think on the TE corner)
Sensory Room
Exactly. Extra capacity is merely one benefit amongst many a redeveloped Main Stand will bring.

It's fantastic news for the club and for fans.
