I think the club will go out of business.

As crazy as it may sound, I honestly think that Sheffield Wednesday Football Club and all it’s history since 1867 will cease to exist.

That’s the severity of it.
It will always exist. The fan base is too big for it not to. Even if it's gets toxic like at Bury while the phoenix gathers, it will find a way.

Chansri is a **** and a clown.

This.
It's clear that the rules on responsible owners, sustainability, FFP and all that aren't working.
I’m going to run the risk of getting hoyed on the bonfire for what I’m about to say but football for me ain’t that important with some of the things happening in the world especially at this time but it’s true clubs are the heartbeat of the community and should be protected, we’ve had a rough time in the recent past and there no guarantees we won’t end up back in the barrel at some point, I read about the German model and you’ve got to give it to them it works.

Personally I’d settle for a lower division if we were 100% sustainable, the spending we’ve done is unnerving……

Reet I’m getting in my foxhole.

Mike Ashley appears to be in at Reading by all accounts, Wigan still messing about, and other clubs looking for funding. The entire league is on its arse really.

It’s really about time something was done to safe guard historic clubs ……these chances coming in from other sectors, causing mayhem then buggering off must stop, I do like the 50 % plus 1 system.
While I agree something must be done, I don't think there should be favouritism based on when the club was founded.

I agree, so much money is flowing into the game, but, sadly, most of it goes to the players in the Prem, one way or another, whilst the clubs in the Championship strive to get to the promised land and chuck what little money they have away. Just how we did it is still a mystery, but one for which I will be forever grateful. I can go to my grave a happy man.

Totally ridiculous at all levels-caused by cancerous agents and greedy players,
It needs sorting.

I’m more talking about the fact that maybe 80% of the league clubs are 50 years old or more they have heritage irrespective of what they’ve won they have great significance to their local communities and mushes coming in thinking I’ll make a few bob doesn’t sit right with me, clubs like Bury hitting the wall was so sad, they’re a small club but too Bury fans they were the best team in the land, I’d bet they had 3,4 or even 5th generation fans….

I ain’t got the answers but a better system needs putting in place and sooner rather than later.

⬆️👍yip agree Cloughie

I didn’t want to start something to be honest as it’s subjective but as I pointed out earlier the German system seems to work better than ours, far to much speculating to accumulate goes on in our top league, I know when we were kings of Europe Brian had a choice of new East Stand or a new player, nowadays they want a new ground and half dozen new players ……spend what you have in the bank at season start, ring fence salaries for everyone at the club, no ticking on as this is one of the things that caused some of todays issues putting things on the never never.

Ironically one of the industry’s I worked in was ruined by legislation as people were servicing debt with more debt, just as football tends to do without needing to stick to any governance.

Although I’m pleased Forest are in the Premier League (for now!) I think it has distorted the
English game-the TV money needs to be far more evenly distributed across all levels
and grass roots football.
I also feel it has had an adverse affect on competition in the European game.
The monster could easily destroy the game.
I’ve already mentioned player’s wages!
