It's actually remarkable how we ended up back in the Premierleague in the first place.

If Hughton had started at least half decently, Steve might not have come in and Brennan probably would have gone out on loan. If Grabbs didnt get injured when he did, would Surridge and Davis have come in? Samba was the difference in the Playoff Semis. Colwill scores an own goal in the final and Huddersfield don't get the penalty shout.

With Fulham and Bournemouth, Solanke scored 30 and Mitrovic had like what 42? Fulham especially had a Premierleague squad. Bournemouth had some Premierleague players too. With us, we had a rag tag bunch.

That being said, Fulham kept Mitrovic and Bournemouth kept Solanke that first season. We had to go buy anyone and everyone. We also started the season playing suicideball before becoming more pragmatic.

In the first season, Southampton/Leicester/Leeds all cut their own legs out and paid the price. Burnley spent but played suicide ball. Luton were plucky but lacked quality. Sheffield United were just fodder. This season, Southampton are just fodder. Leicester didn't recruit any Premierleague quality and Ipswich are somewhere between Burnley and Luton.

There is an actual gulf between leagues right now.
That gulf will be used in arguments from Yank owners to end relegation.

Rooney's Plymouth lost again. Is anyone surprised?

Plymouths away supporters are the best supporters in the country by a mile

The shortest round trip is about 4+ hours to Bristol, the average must be about 12 hours - and they know they are going to get beat every game.

At what point will Rooney decide that Football management isn't for him? This is his 4th management job and he is averaging 25.3% according to Wikipedia (and seemingly falling).
It's the problem with the Celeb culture that the MSM have generated around him for years. Every time he fails they find a way to resurrect him, cos he's Rooney init?

Poor old Wazza… Not only is he bottom, his own wife would rather watch Everton v Forest than Plymouth
She’s only there for the Forest

But they only try to build him up to knock him down again as they seem to do with most celebrities.

Rooney now is starting to look like the aged boxer who has spent his life doing what he loves and can't do what he enjoyed anymore but can't step away either. He doesn't seem to have the ability to manage at a decent level, he, erm, doesn't have the talent for punditry, not necessarily because of knowlege but his inabiity to put his point over in a flowing, interesting way.

I don't know how he goes forward. Does he have the money to invest in a team to stay involved in the industry. You would think he would have made a lot in his career.

It's weird not thinking about promoted sides as possible fellow relegation battlers for the next season. Really want Leeds to suffer down there a bit longer though.

Luke Williams is slowly creeping Swansea up the table after an average start there

I hope he does well, he did a great job at Notts

Yes but it's an excuse to leave Plymouth for a bit so it's not totally selfless.

Another good home win for the Super Hoops against Watford. QPR slowly moving up the league.
Nice to see Colback on as a late substitute following a lengthy period out injured.
No Steve Cook playing today but he has been really good for them this season too

Rowett gone into Oxford & won 3 in a row too, now level will Derby - QPR gone above them! Stoke got Robins in, Plucky Luton won't go away! Derby are slowly slipping down the table
