The demise of Ruud van Nistelrooij’s Leicester City

We play them at home in May and having watched them defend yesterday we could get 10!

Will likely be down by then as well. Or we could send them down which I would not enjoy…… not one bit.

Anyone with a Foxes Talk account want to explain it to this guy:

There have been plenty of shit squads that have stayed up previously, Forest being one example. But the reason they stay up is because they have a manager who gets the basics right and then injects passion, fight and commitment into the team

Parodying themselves at this point.

Can't even do that.

Check out Project Reset on X, protest planned for Arsenal game. Apparently they were once the envy of the footballing world.

They tried “project reset” in 2023 -there is a cobweb covered thread about it on their forum that is nearly 2 pages long

they should have waited for potter instead of hiring cooper in the summer when potter was still deliberating. Cooper summer recruitment weren't that good and set the tone for the season. Cooper would still have taken them down , but i guess at least he won't have the stigma of relegation on his cv when he's applying for his next job. Stick to the championship, steve.

Is that the same Steve Cooper who’d kept them out of the bottom three?

Despite the clubs‘ woeful recruitment, which apparently he didn’t have much of a say in?

i would think oliver skipp from tottenham for 20m was definitely coops.

leicester results before coops were sacked showed a downward trend , they would have been bottom three with or without him.

What a disaster of a club. Had someone who was ready made to keep them up, who'd been there, seen it, done it.

Knew how to change their style and tactics. Adaptable in many ways, and had the ability to bring a team together (aside from Vardy).

Might aswell make Jamie Vardy manager now. He could have done better than Ranieri, I'm sure.

A prime example of how not to build on a successful season. Yeah COVID can't have helped but even before that their recruitment went to shit. They got rid on Kante and started throwing big wages and long contract at average players and couldn't sustain it.
