Not a great system for those who have to travel - if they get stuck in traffic, or their train etc is delayed. Hard to justify the expense of getting to the stadium only to find out you can't get in.
Also, potentially dangerous if there are rushes and crushing to get in at the turnstiles.
Yeah & don't forget those of us that don't leave the pub until 2 minutes before kick off

Wednesday was one of the worst I've seen for getting into the ground. People were still getting coming 30 mins after kick off, loads sitting in the wrong seats and even section. Even more baffling was the people that had arrived so late on, then getting up 10 minutes later to go down to get food.

I'm starting to think a "new supporter" section might be a good idea so they can just musical chair themselves to death
I think a new supporter IQ test should need to be passed with questions like "If you seat is in the Lower Brian clough Stand, which turnstiles should you use to enter the ground?" A the ones that sat Trent end only; B The ones that say Upper Brian clough stand; C The ones that say "Lower Brian Clough Stand.
Etc.

Used to be plenty of season card holders round me doing similar. Think it was to powder their nose or have a cig though.

I think all pre-paid tickets should be scrapped.
Entrance would be "pay at the turnstile", so that everyone has an equal chance of getting to see a game.
By cutting all the administration costs associated with season cards etc. gate prices could be slashed... maybe 2 shillings and 6 pence for juniors and OAPs, and 5/- for the rest.
I can remember when it actually cost me 2 shillings and 6 pence to get in the Trent End!

Yeah I think a lorry shed it's load somewhere on the A52. It's the same whenever there's a load of newbies though, they think they can rock up to the turnstiles 15 mins before kick off, not realising that if thousands of people turn up at the turnstiles at the latest possible time this is what happens. Add to the fact most of them don't know how to use the QR code properly or haven't downloaded it and then can't get reception at the ground to do it, you end up with entry cluster****
I left derby at 6 had to divert down the m1. Still 15 mins late, missed the kick off. Fair couple of thousand like me missed kick off

It’s down to Forest to apply a delay in kick off

I left Barnsley at 4pm arrived at parking spot at 6.20pm. Seems like I did well even coming much further than most

The traffic chaos seemed to be south of the city; the A52 between Clifton and Nottingham Knight was closed (and that’s a key route to the WFCG for anyone coming from south or west of Nottingham).

You possibly missed the worst of it, coming in from the north as you would have been.

It didn't get to proper carnage stakes until I hit western boulevard from J26 From there it didn't matter whether you went city centre, QMC or castle boulevard you were snookered

He wasn't wrong. Rats chucking themselves on the traps and even the dogs walk around in threes
I’ve always considered Barnsley to be akin to the post-apocalyptic hellscape from Mad Max 2, only without the mutilated guy in the hockey mask and the mohican-clad psychopath with the leather chaps.

As my economics teacher used to say…

“Baaaarnsley, the third world of England. Baaaarnsley East, the third world of Baaaarnsley”.

He was from Barnsley.
Kate Rusby, who hails from Barnsley, said in her "Live at Leeds" concert (available on DVD and recommended) that Barnsley had been voted as the worst place in the UK. She said she was right chuffed because it was the first time they'd won anything.

I've worked there a bit ... it's good in parts.
