Steve Cooper will always be the MAN!

Sad to see a Leicester fan getting onto the pitch to have a go at him and fair play to the Walsall guy for stopping it.

Can't help but think the next few weeks is going to be a talksport style witch hunt for him with every negative result until they sack him.

Quite apart from his qualities as a football manager, that connection he made with us means that I am struggling not to feel for him as a bloke at the moment.

Nice big pay-off and not having to be associate with Leicester anymore, what's not to like? Take the money Steve.

As much as Cooper is a great guy and has forever enamored himself to our club, watching Leicester has been painful this season and he obviously isn't up to the level required in the division. One of many who have failed to make the jump to managing in the best football league on planet Earth. Should have used his year off to re-assess himself and up his game, and it doesn't look like he has done that. Bringing the same assistant was a big mistake, imho. One of many who just can't quite cut the mustard at the top.

FTFY.

Their Cooper Out thread was started on August 11th - before a competitive ball was even kicked. Self-entitled pricks that don't deserve even 1 ounce of Coop's management. As Alf mentioned - they're 15th and scored in every PL game. Their squad is over performing in 15th to be fair.
I saw some clips of talksport where in fairness a couple of fans were a bit more reasoned in backing him and it being too early for the talk but they were preceded by two morons calling for his head and several texts to the same effect.

One said that the squad they have should be finishing 15th or 16th.....Simon Jordan reminded him that that was exactly where they were but it didn't seem to land. They want front footed football but if they played that against us for example I would anticipate us battering them.

Performances might not have been good but they've got 3 draws out of 5 games and after their next game against Arsenal they play Bournemouth, Southampton, us then Ipswich which present different challenges. I think us and the cherries probably demonstrate a bit of progress since they last played us so they will be lucky to get anything out of those games but the other two are probably must wins.

None of that is any different if Klopp, Pep or Cooper was in charge because the squad they have is probably as strong as last seasons but weaker than the one that got relegated.

With the games they've played and the points accumulated already, they're in a decent position for a promoted team. I should imagine that the points target to avoid relegation this year will be quite low, so what were Leicester fans expecting?

As for the man himself, it doesn't look like he has built any sort of rapport with the fans and most of them wanted him gone before the start of the season. He'll probably keep them up, but I can't see him being in charge for too long. Cooper would be excellent at a Championship club with Premier League ambitions. The way its going, I'd be surprised if he's in the dugout when we play them, so good luck Leicester with a Nathan Jones type appointment that follows!

You'd think they'd lost every game 3-0. Daft sods.

Would love to know what about their transfer business makes them think they should be aiming higher than 17th.

It is weird

They’ve avoided an FFP charge, drawn with Spurs and they’re 15th.

What exactly is the problem?
I think the problem that many Leicester fans are experiencing (having just left the best period in their history) is
the same that Forest fans faced post-Clough i.e they are not traditionally a big club and have yo-yo’d between
the 1st and 2nd tier throughout their history. They are now settling down to a more normal existence.
As my Mum used to say-‘it’s easy on the way up but difficult to come down’.
I got a ticket in the ballot today for the Leicester game and I for one will be giving Steve a cheer whatever
the outcome.
