Steve Cooper will always be the MAN!

It’s simple. Which side of the fence are you on?

It'll be like any dressing room. There will be some that will be sorry to see him go and some that will be glad to see the back of him.
And most people could probably make a reasonable guess which camp each member of the squad would be in. Without them even needing to post on social media.

Thank you Marinakis for your investment in the club we all love but you have made an enormous error today. And unless you and whoever comes along afterwards proves me wrong, a part of me will forever think of you as a bit of an idiot.
You see you're not looking at it as a business, he is. He's the one taking the risks and paying up a contract of a manager early. He doesn't make those decisions quickly. You don't make his millions being an idiot.

I hope it's some consolation to Steve to know how much love he leaves behind. It's very, very unusual for a manager to be sacked on such a bad run and yet have such deep appreciation from fans and players alike. Bielsa at Leeds is one of the few other examples I can think of. It's a tribute to Cooper as a person and a professional that he leaves such a feeling of loss. He can go with his head held high knowing that he made life better for fans, players, the club and the city.

People are laughing, but that's genuinely how I feel.

We've replaced not only a coach who brought us success, but gave the Club it's soul back, with a Saudi sell out.

I want the club to succeed, that's why I'm proud that we're in the Premier League, despite how it's been tainted by Sky and the obscene amounts of money involved, it's the pinnacle whether you or I like it; but I can't really get behind this guy even if he takes us to Europe. My enthusiasm has completely waned, just in time for my first home game in over 2 years on Saturday. I reckon it's going to be like a funeral at the WFCG, and frankly, I'm one of the mourners.

Thank you for everything Cooperman, you didn't deserve this, and neither did we.

I understand it's a business and he has made investments. I recognised that in the post you quoted. And I'm grateful for it.

But I'm talking as someone who loves the club and have been supporting them before he made a penny and will continue to do so after he has headed on to play with a new toy.

And with the greatest of respect, I have to disagree with the idea that people who make millions upon millions can't be an idiot. Plenty of idiots have made lots and lots of money.

I bet you can guess five or six players who won't be posting...

Would they happen to have been on the bench or out of the squad for the past couple of matches, while the guys on the pitch were busting a bollock for the Gaffer?

Also change isn’t always bad. I think I would have been mad if we sacked coops at this moment anyway but if the replacement was a fresh manager with fresh ideas I’d be a little placated. Nuno plays just like cooper but he’s someone I don’t give a feck about and a Saudi sell out.

Anyway thank you Cooper you made a grown man cry for the first time in his life which wasn’t a funeral. You made my brother cry as well. Grown men in a pub crying…. That season was the best one ever in my life.
