Steve Cooper will always be the MAN!

It’s simple. Which side of the fence are you on?

They are now looking for that box of P45s as no-one has seen it for a couple of years or so

Cooper might be saved yet :)

Having a debate at work at the mo and wondered what the consensus would be on here. Would you rather:

- Be relegated back to Champ while keeping Cooper, or
- Stay up in the Prem without Cooper?
Its a bit of a naughty question because its obvious what the answer is but its no way near obvious how to achieve it would be.

Put it this way I think we are more likley to be relegate with Nuno being employed in my personal opinion. If it was like a Glasner or even a McKenna id still think its a risk but dont neccesarily think it couldnt work out.

Like I said its lazy to say change is bad or good as ever it depends on recruitment decision. Brighton are always rocked by changes but their recruitment is good. Emery came in and took Villa to a new level. So its a lazy mindset to have.

However the hit rate of managers for Maranakis is poor and the hit rate of player recruitment is poor. So thats who we are relying on to get a positive change in the club after Coops.

Yes Cooper has tactical flaws in the prem but he is no way the only reason for our poor performance and both EM and EM Junior need to look at their own decision making becuase thats been dross also.

Thanks to Steve for what he did for the club and he will always be remembered in the same esteem as Mr Clough, the game has moved on now and EM has invested massive amounts of cash into the club and cannot think of the club being relegated and he has made a massive decision to replace the manager.

I hope his actions work and we can start to get some results to ensure our premiership future very shortly.

I would probably go for option A as strange as that sounds. Forest have largely been crap for my entire adult life but for the last couple of years under Cooper we were a Forest family again. If Nuno comes in and we win a few then of course most fans will be happy but loyalty doesn’t exist in today’s world and that leaves a bad taste in my view.

I agree with the sentiment, but I think this is wishful thinking. The moaners have been getting louder all season, and that would only have intensified if we got relegated.

Though of course I expect the moaning to go up a notch now anyway.

Same esteem as mr Clough, are you sure?

Disappointed for Steve Cooper, he seemed like a genuinely good bloke with an obvious love for the club and the city. He's given us a lot of brilliant moments and has left the club in a much better place than he found it.

However I also fully understand the sacking. It's a results business and frankly our results and performances have been crap for a while and we're sleepwalking towards relegation and that just isn't an option for EM.

Finally, as I'm a supporter of NFFC I can only hope this gives us the kick-start we need and we go into the Bournemouth game all guns blazing and get 3 points. Hopefully this is the start of a successful new era at the club and I just hope that the rest of the fanbase can get behind the new manager with the same support as they did Steve Cooper, for the good of the team.

What a man. What a legend.
As a relatively young coach I’m pretty sure we’ll be reunited at some point. In the meantime, all the best Steve, thanks for everything.

Couldn’t agree more - thank you very much Steve you’ve done a good job and will always be welcome at the world famous city ground but time to move on. If we start winning people will soon move on as football is a results game and fans are fickle

You beat me to it FLC.
There’s an inevitability that Steve Cooper will return at some point and probably a lot sooner than expected
PS I realise he hasn’t quite left us yet!!

After 60 years of supporting the Reds this decision is one that will take some digesting - and lead me to reconsidering my relationship with the club. My season ticket is assured ( I have 2 x grandsons who depend on me taking them to games ) but the time is probably right to relinquish my away membership ( not that I’ll be missed from the fortnightly scramble for tickets ).
Gutted 😢

How long until the Cooper out brigade become the Santos out brigade? Given the same set of circumstances Steve had to deal with I can't see any long term upturn in our fortunes.

Three weeks I reckon.

And I’m being serious.
