Steve Cooper will always be the MAN!

It’s simple. Which side of the fence are you on?

Cant wait for him to come back for his unfinished business

Santo rejects the contract offer. Marinakis has already sacked Cooper. In his panic, he turns to fan-favourite Billy Davies.

Unfinished Business 3. The sequel sequel.

FFS, Turner was NEVER getting to that. There is no way that was a mistake by any goalkeeper.

Let's hope that Nuno, if he comes, can help drive down the number of errors our guys do make though.

Those saying how toxic the atmosphere will get sound just like those they criticise for saying what Marinakis will be thinking. It's almost as though you want it to be that way to prove your point.

Just get behind the team FFS.

Not just me then. Was it impossible (for the team) to defend against? Probably not. Was it a massive howler? Also no.

There is a point there though.

If it is perfectly acceptable for people to be highly critical of Steve Cooper, which they have, then surely it is equally as acceptable for people to be highly critical of whoever the manager is at any time?

We can't say 'it's fine to criticise X but not his eventual replacement'.

On the other hand, constant criticism of 'X' rather makes the case for criticism of his replacement, it's like a self fulfilling prophecy.

Not sure this is fair why be critical of a manager before he has even started - Cooper has just overseen 1 win in 13 games most people accept if you do that in this league you struggle to survive. and keep your job. This is not this first time this has happened either. Add in 2 away wins in 28. Its fair for people to voice concern and want a change.

Well, as some folks always want to throw up an example of what has worked for some other club as being what we should copy...

Darren Fergsuon is currently doing pretty well in his 3rd stint at Peterborough.

The timing of this is just bizarre. It also puts Nuno in an extremely hard place, as it sets him up to fail from the off.

They simply HAVE to give Cooper the Bournemouth game.

Cooper remains in charge
- Lets say we do not beat Bournemouth, it then gives further justification to part ways with Cooper, resulting in much less of a backlash from the fans.
- On the reverse side of that, if we beat Bournemouth with Cooper in charge then the whole mindset of everyone changes and we back Cooper into January allowing him to get a replacement for Awoniyi. If after that things are still not working out, you can rightly point your finger at Cooper. By the end of Feb we are not going to have been cut that far adrift, someone new could still turn it around. Although I have every faith Cooper would have already done that.

Cooper is sacked
- The ideal situation here is that Nuno walks straight in and grabs 3 points. That is a big ask, as the atmosphere will not be a pleasant one.
- Now the sickening thought. We do not win, fans have just lost their hero, Newcastle away & Man Utd next, IMAGINE how toxic that atmosphere will be at Full time. Nuno would have dived head first into a disaster.

The only way this has any chance of working is if Nuno wins on Saturday, any other result makes me feel sick at the potential outcome.

As someone who has travelled many miles supporting Forest - a home game is a round trip of 138 miles - I will not allow anybody to question my support. I was at the Friday night game & Turner never moved for that cross. I've seen it since and at the very least he should have made it difficult for their guy. He did nothing. I am entitled to my opinion & given the Clubs record re Managers it's very difficult to blindly support the hierarchy when they make poor decision after poor decision re Managers. Marinakis has made one good decision & several crap ones. Fawaz made crap decision after crap decision........even Doughty wasn't much better than Fawaz. There were stats recently in The Times which said that sacking a Manager mid season fails more often than not. Re toxic you know as well as me that if Cooper goes & whoever doesn't get a win or two the atmosphere will be toxic.

Cut the cross off at source. We have been letting too many crosses come in this season. That's probably my biggest criticism of Toffs. Maybe we did it last season too but we had Felipe heading everything away.

What a crappy way to treat the guy who performed the biggest miracle ever in the Championship. He achieved the impossible.
He is my hero.

How the heck is Santo going to magic a striker and a decent GK out of thin air ?
To all those who wished him gone - you have got your wish. Be careful what you wished for.

Totally agree. It doesn't address either of those issues.

Ah. So you are saying it is fine to be critical of a manager but when he's gone you can't criticise his replacement?

At what point then is criticism of the new manager considered acceptable?

Is it right that you should decide that?

Or is it down to the individual? In which case they are free to criticise from whatever point they want.

You don't criticize him before the first game. Get real. (Alex McLeish was an exception to that).

I think a good starting point is criticising him for not being Steve Bruce

I'd have them training every day on current form. Plenty of stuff they need to work on.

No one to report to because no coaching staff...
