Noting how contentious decisions around Forest games recently by refs, very public berating the decisions it seems odd (or less so really) that no Foreset ref decisions are being discussed on the bbc's Mic'd up programme.

It's my belief that the only Mic'd Up incidents allowed on the programme are those which show the VAR team and referee in the best light. Or, at least, not a shower who lost control, didn't know the rules or who obviously came to the wrong conclusion.

It's acceptable that time constraints mean the programme contents have to be edited or restricted, but the whole content of the VAR discussions should be available online for those who wish to access them.

VAR discussions should be played over the loudspeakers at the ground and on TV so everyone can hear them - Along with big screens displaying the registration numbers of the officials cars.

half the time so far it's been the guy sat in front of the screens far away which are making the crucial decisions...maybe their email addresses?

the panel that reviews decisions has said that 'tackle' on Neco Williams in the Brighton game was reckless & should have been a red................
Actually, if you use the language of the lawbook, it was using "excessive force" and that made it a red. Reckless is the term for a caution. Moder's tackle was a red all day and that referee was poor to get it wrong. Dermot Gallagher described it as a textbook red card.

I'm surprised more hasn't been made of the VAR for the Man City Liverpool game saying BOTH players went in high when Macallister quite clearly doesn't.

And he seemed to want to get his "check complete" message through to Michael Oliver very, very quickly.

I don’t have a problem with the ref on this, I have a bit of sympathy to be honest. He clearly pondering it for a longer time than normal. If the technology wasn’t there I think he shows the red. But he probably played it safe knowing it could be looked at by the VAR. I think in this instance the VAR was the offender, I honestly don’t know how they were happy with it, it wasn’t even a subjective call. It was a clear error and a clear red card.

From that distance, and with that view, he has to get it right. The first thing I do when a ref misses something is look at where he is and what could be obscuring his view.

Haven't Kavanagh and Oliver f**ked us over before? The hitlist is becoming too large to remember.
To be fair to Michael Oliver, he was the ref who awarded a penalty, was instructed to review his decision at the VAR screen, and stuck with it (Bournemouth I think).
I can't recall him actually screwing us over, but someone will be along shortly to tell us about the dozens of times he did :)

He gave a ridiculous penalty against us versus saints last season. But he gave a soft one to Johnson too in the same game.

I think at this point, it would be easier to list which Referees haven‘t bent Forest over this season.

I'm sure it was West Ham at home last season. Didn't give them a pen. VAR asked him to look again and he stuck with his original decision.

I remember at Reading, years ago, Oliver was in his early days and we were leading, tenuously, 1-0 going into extra time. It was before they announced added time and I remember my next door neighbour saying, "He's going to play until Reading score". And so it was and none of us could work out just where all that extra time came from.
