Snatchday 1: Nottingham Forest Vs the PGMOL

Something isn't adding up here. I'll have to watch it back but I'm almost certain they said check had been cleared. This is even fishier and sounds more like covering the fact that it was checked and it's not going to sound good therefore easier to say it wasn't.
I mean "check cleared" sounds exactly like "cheque cleared".

100%

"Attwell forgot to check it so sorry but there's no audio cos it doesn't exist."

Yeah right. Release the full game audio please from start to finish. If refs can't be accused of anything beyond just bad decisions then there's no harm in releasing the entire game for us to ponder over. And whilst you're at it, lets have the audio from the other times we've been f**ked over with nonsense decisions. Nothing nefarious is there and nothing to hide so why not?

Also funny given Simon Jordan et al were shoving it down our throats earlier saying the audio recordings will demonstrate simple human error. Nope.

if the PL and MGOL (not up to the level of professional IMO) were truly interested in professionalism, integrity and transparency the audio feed of match officials would be made public in real time - that would alter status quo immediately and calls would make a whole lot more sense than the mystery they are today

Based on observation I strongly suspect professionalism, integrity and transparency are the PL's lowest priority

to be fair to them they had 3 penalties not called, one specifically when we were on the up (young’s challenge on CHO). Could’ve changed things massive.

True, but I’m not a fan of the players giving it plenty in the media when we are struggling-I want
to see better performances on the field.
I always felt Andy Reid was the worst-if he gave an interview leading up to a game you just
knew Forest would lose!

Hello fellow Californian.

Yes I agree, I have no idea why the recordings aren’t in the public domain. I believe actively keeping it private is demonstrably wrong and shows a lack of respect towards the clubs and fans of said clubs.

Disgusting.

It's because with all there money and massive scale of the premier league they have no communication standards they communicate with and when this happens they become simply embarrassed by how amateur the whole thing sounds.
That's my guess anyway but who knows could be far worse

Why does everyone take the default position that there isn't any corruption in this country?

Wherever money is involved, you can never rule it out.

On the whole it’s just embarrassing isn’t it?

We tell everyone ad nauseam that this is the best league in the world……but please just ignore our refs!

Laughable that this whole charade has lasted this long, I’m surprised with the way EM is that he didn’t explode much earlier.

Nothing is official other than that one line in the Daily Mail but i do remember one thing about that CHO incident in the 2nd half and it was how RAPID it was "checked and cleared". I'm not even sure we were done watching the first replay of the tackle and it had been cleared.

I'll need to find footage to have another look but there was certainly no "pause" and seeing a dialogue happening, certainly not shown on Sky anyway. (to my memory i must add because it was at this moment that i threw my Mac keyboard to the floor; head absolutely went)

If he did indeed "choose not to review it" and the media do not report this....or the VAR audio of that goal is not released to the public, this is about to go nuclear

Ridiculously embarrassing add to the fact no one wants it now and no one ever did they just told us we did weather its corrupt or not its the perfect tool to have to apply corruption and we're completely locked out denied rhe audio denied answers and on the whole we all just suck it up could get rid of it tomorrow if everyone got together and boycotted just 1 game week unfortunately it will never happen

They're just going to talk about the Reyna one on Sky next Monday aren't they? And try and gaslight everyone into thinking we're moaning about nothing.

(Let's be honest, he went down easily, and it's the kind of decision that we moan about being on the receiving end of. But that we nethertheless have been on the receiving end of, and this season as well.)

When a large number of Everton fans agree that they ‘got away with several good shouts’ this
suggests to me either incompetence (which has happened a lot this season) or worse
still corruption.
Make your choice.

When you see the efforts that are made in US Sports to be more open and transparent with officiating, IIRC, the NBA actually give out reasons for all offences that get called in the last 2 minutes of a match, and I believe that they're all actually written, archived and kept forever.

The audio could have been on its way to Forest within 10 minutes of a request yesterday, but, no, "We'll release it when we want" makes it seem more opaque than anything..

I don't think using refs from the NBA is the best example, they are diabolical, 🤣

Well, if you'd like an alternative view - I'm not in the slightest bit livid - I'm completely apathetic to it all, as I feel my anger would be a wasted emotion that will change nothing.
I'm so fed up with both the state of the modern game after all the rule changes, and the Premier League with it's FFP and poor VAR implementation, that I'm pretty much done with it all and will be spending my Saturday afternoons doing something else which doesn't feel completely pointless in future.
Don’t give in mate, ‘Cry God for Nuno, Forest and St George!’
I reckon all this nonsense we’re putting up with is going to galvanise the players over the next few games and we’ll get out of it. 🏆🏆🌳

Something isn't adding up here. I'll have to watch it back but I'm almost certain they said check had been cleared. This is even fishier and sounds more like covering the fact that it was checked and it's not going to sound good therefore easier to say it wasn't.
They 'check' everything that meets the 4 areas for VAR.

But a check is different from a review.

I'm pretty sure when they say 'chose not to review' they mean he didn't send the ref to the screen for an on field review.

It's heartening to see that most fans are on our side.

Even Derby fans.

The club was 100% correct to do this.
Remember we have been a club that has always been at the front of massive changes for the better in football - going back to wearing shin guards in1874
