Snatchday 1: Nottingham Forest Vs the PGMOL

Glad to see most of the British footballing fanbase standing with us, expected us to get the whole "woe is me" treatment from other fans. As it stands, the only people up in arms about this are the mainstream heads pushing the PL-tinted narrative.

I'm not sure if it's an illusion because of my personal bias, or just because I've been paying more attention because it's Forest who are involved, but the pro-Premier League/corporate angle from both Sky and Talksport has been quite noticeable.

It goes without saying that they know where their bread is buttered, so I'm trying not to be naive about that, but it has felt like it runs deeper somehow. Jim White in particular sounded like a PL mouthpiece this morning, almost to the point of being aggressive.

I don't think it's an illusion at all, which is backed up by the comments on their tweets and videos. The average fan isn't buying their drivel.

I genuinely hope the club keeps it up. Something needs to change and if we can be the catalyst then I'm all for it.

I had talksport on earlier for some reason. Every time I listen it goes down in my estimation. I can’t believe they allow such shit laddish bantz on the radio. It’s annoying / moronic beyond belief. It doesn’t help that 3/4 are like a caricature cockneys. Not even real people just if you were doing a drunk, lairy OTT cockney impression that would be it. But that is how all their presenters seem to go on all show! f***ing laughable.

Gentlemen, if the Big Man sues Gary Neville i will personally make it my duty to track him down to shake his hand firmly.

Bring on every f***er! Burn the place down!
Calling these boys that sort of thing is well and truly playing with fire. Neville's a simpleton.

I recall once reading that in order for The Godfather to get made, the makers had to promise the real mafia to not use the word mafia. It's not a word that is looked upon fondly, I think.

I'm sure this has been posted earlier, but the two ex-professional players both think we should have had 2 penalties, and ex-referee thinks we should have had at least one.

I thought that was a fair enough discussion throughout to be fair. Even Gallagher I thought argued his case well. I kind of agreed with Gallagher on what he was saying.

For me in a sensible world pens 1 and 2 wouldn’t ever be pens. But in the world PGMOL have created they all are. Or generally are.

The Godfather one was true, IIRC, Scorsese had several meetings with different mafia, and was only allowed to continue if that word was not used. As you say, its not a badge they like, they prefer 'family'.

Marinakis is known to be the same, and for Neville to use a term often used to describe criminal organisations, on live TV, is a silly decision for him to make.
Expect him to backtrack once he finds his spine.

The big thing there is both Sue Smith and Warnock are Everton fans, and, as ex pros, they know exactly where they are on this.
I've seen 1 given (I'm looking towards Bukayo Saka or Jota there), a near identical one to the 2nd was given in the cup semi less than 3 hours later, and 3, as Gallagher said, invite Taylor to have a look, and if he still doesn't think it is, then, thats that.
