Season Cards 2024/2025

I’m quite sure that last year, Season Card renewals were launched in March 2023 yet I’ve heard nothing about renewals for the upcoming season 2024/25.

I guess it’s only a matter of time but I’m expecting an above-inflation price hike regardless of which league we’re playing in, as per the last two seasons.

Have I missed anything?

This smacks of a big price hike but they don’t want to upset the fan base in the run in.

Last season, we didn’t know if we’d survive the league but it didn’t stop them in March imposing a 10% price increase on my season card.

It’s just that I haven’t heard any murmurings at all. Another 10% would take mine up to £638.00 which, if we stay in the Prem would work out to £33.58 per game. I dread to think what Matchday tickets would cost.

Perhaps they’re trying to look after our loyal fans and looking to even reduce season card prices 🤔.

The players and their agents want a word,Bonfy.
We can dream Cloughie can’t we? I genuinely feel for folk who have kids it must be costing a bomb for the match day experience…..working man’s game at middle class prices treat with contempt by the club.

Let’s hope the stand isn’t condemned or falls down before they can fleece the fans.

My Dad was a working man from a working man’s background-I doubt he could have
afforded to take me to football nowadays.
The demographic of the football fan has and is changing.

Yip, and if the big man would smash a few less TV’s he’d be able to let folk in for nothing, football across Europe costs buttons in comparison, my argument has always been lower ticket prices would increase spending in other areas like food, drinks and merchandise……but the clubs go for the lowest hanging fruit and squeeze the fans for every penny.

I fear:

1. Significant increases across the board ( 5-10% ).
2. New restrictions on who can use your season card - ie named card holder only ( or some other restriction preventing cards being used by family / friends ).
3. New draconian changes to away membership.

Certainly no evidence / knowledge on which to base my fears - hope I’m wrong.

20% increase, away membership £100 and 3 year season tickets incoming.

But all that stuff is fine as the same LTLF logic from last season still applies now: "We're an ambitious PL club now and that's the price we need to pay."

If we get relegated, they’ll still increase ticket prices but tell us we’re getting more for our money as there’s 4 more games

Irrespective of the level we're at next season, if the season-card price doesn't increase we'll likely be one of exceptionally few clubs. As such, I won't be holding my breath in anticipation of a price-freeze. The trend across the top two divisions is upwards.

They've also shaved another 2 years off youth band, to only 17, which hits teens still in FT education, or their parents
