Agreed, not trying to apportion blame, just pointing out on the basis of 1 game post transfer window, that we didn’t need to sign a gk and sels/ big mig are fine for us.

Completely agree. No keeper is saving that. Even if Sels had been on his line he would have struggled considering how hard he hit it and the amount of spin on it. Also I bet these same people criticising our keeper for not saving a thunderbolt worldy, weren't saying anything about Dean Henderson a couple of seasons ago when he was beat from distance half a dozen times or more*. Some people get a narrative in their heads (e.g. Sels isn't very good) and they can't let it go and look for reasons to justify it everwhere.

*I don't blame Henderson either, it was the defenders fault for constantly letting the opposition having shots from outside the area.

99/100 that shot ends up in the Trent end. Can’t really remember sels having a save to make. A bit of luck and we could have been sat on 9 points.
