The players linked with us just highlights my complete lack of international football knowledge. I'm glad some on here know a player or two or I'd be totally lost.

Sounds like we could do with endo too
Over my dead body! 😂

Wataru-san has become a local legend; signed for a paltry €625k from Belgian side St. Truiden, he has become the beating heart of the Stuttgart side.

He also attained legendary status (if he didn’t have enough respect already) last season, when, in the season finale against 1. FC Köln, he scored a 92nd minute headed goal that won the match, 2-1, preserving the clubs’ top flight status after a season wracked by injuries and Covid.

He is possibly the one current VfB player who will never need to buy a drink in the city, as long as he lives.

Your loyalties need to be considered. :D
To be honest, VfB have always been my „second“ team since the 1990s, when I fell in love with those white and red shirts and the famous Magisches Dreieck thanks to the weekly „Eurogoals“ program on Eurosport.

That I have somehow ended up living in Stuttgart (for work reasons) was a purely unexpected bonus.

Ha, I can only dream of living and working in Florence!

Batistuta, right?

It has to be Batigol!
Batigol, Effenberg, Laudrup, Baiano, getting relegated despite wining 6-2 on the final day. Then Rui Costa, Eduardo, Toldo .....

and the best kits. You can't beat the Lotto kit with 7Up or the Fila Nintendo one.

and also Chianti Classico and Super Tuscans. T-Bone steaks. And crazy tifosi.

Dunno if you can go around misgendering people in this day an age. I can already hear people on twitter forming a pile on as we speak.

You are presuming a knowledge of the Italian language from a flippant comment on a football forum? Oh Huxley

Yes, but we'd have to completely change the way we play and have a deep lying midfielder to provide cover to the defenders because, quite simply, Ahmedhodzic isn't good enough.

No good would come from unprotected Anel.
Protected Orel, or unprotected Anel? Only one winner in my book.

If we had kept Ahmedhodzic we could have Anel and Orel in the same side.
Just need to hire a thousand more scouts to find someone called Titwank.

Sounds like this one has legs according to the good people at the Stuttgarter Zeitung.
He was a second half substitute today in the preseason game against Brentcelona (a game VfB won, 2-1, I might add).

The Zeitung has good links to the club, so anything published there you can take as at least having some merit.

There isn't a German Sarah Clapson lifting rumours off Stuttgart forums then?

No, in Germany, such nonsense is not acceptable.

For VfB related topics, the Club maintains a good relationship with the Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Stuttgarter Nachrichten, as well as the more non-regional papers.
