It's a bizarre feeling because I honestly have always respected Nuno and liked and admired his work at Wolves from the Championship, then how he developed that team to consecutive top half finishes in the Premier League.

At that time, I wanted him at Forest. I liked the way he got the crowd involved and how he had Wolves playing and winning.

I just feel a bit dirty now after Cooper. It's too raw.

Assuming he is our manager tomorrow, here is a clip from Ben Foster's podcast featuring Connor Coady:

Speaks well of him, he is a pretty good manager. I will not fully blame him for his time at spurs but f*** me that's a clownshow club at times.
That’s pretty positive.

Late last night i done a lot of reading about him and the general consensus is he's a bloody good manager who gets both the fans and players to love him. It felt dirty reading it last night, but its even harder tonight because not having Coops as our manager just doesn't feel right

But i thought this was a very interesting read, everyone is talking about how he got Wolves to play but that was a lifetime ago in management terms. To complicate matters further this next analysis is from last season with Al Ittihad where he had the luxury of having a striker like Benzema, and facing worst opposition. He went on to win the league and cup after this article was written.

The surprise from some fans at this is odd.

Did they think Coopers replacement would be seriously expected to do anything other than improve us immediately?

EM has clearly made this change with Jan's window in mind and will very likely throw a boat load of players at the situation again. He will not be doing that and have employed Nuno as a bottom 5 manager, nor a mid-table manager. He will be expecting us to be competing for Europe fairly soon I should imagine.
Surely FFP won't allow us to throw another huge investment at players again this coming window ? I thought we were already very finely balanced in that regard ?

We can sort that out by selling one of our successful buys or academy grads for a huge profit

Someone like, just using examples from this season of players performing at the highest level…

Thanks!
I've seen some people throwing corrections around and saying 'No its Santo' so just wanted to get it right from the beginning I guess.

I literally can't think about Cooper right now. Time to learn everything I can about Nuno. I'm nervously excited about a change in football style of some kind.

Wow, you’ve moved on kind of quickly…we haven’t even had an official announcement yet!

Ha, sad thing about this is when I read your post, I pictured that best case scenario of consecutive top half finishes, and then realized Nuno would probably be gone before the 2nd one anyway, because it wouldn't be good enough for some  Every year has to be a higher position finish regardless of circumstance, or it's a fail. Which is a ridiculous standard, and would have seen Clough gone well before his 80's cups with us.

Either way this is going to be a tough gig to come into. Think there will be a lot of scepticism and anger at the decision, which will likely be incorrectly aimed at Nuno. He is starting on the back foot so an immediate impact is absolutely necessary
It’s going to be tough to follow Cooper. Some parallels with Frank Clark following Cloughie, which went OK for a couple of years.

We are getting Santa just in time for Christmas, I'll get behind him but don't see a new manager bounce as don't really think the players had lost faith in cooper. The good thing about nuno is he 343 with 2 wing backs, so a similar kind of style, may see some central midfeilders moved on

Na, f*** that. Of course I hope the team wins but supporting the new bloke when things have gone like this feels like i'd be supporting the decision and I don't. Of all the people to sack, Ross Wilson and Marinakis' doofus son should have been top of that list.

Love Cooper and I’m really sad about it, but let’s be honest - any PL manager would be sacked after our recent results.

Purposefully left posting for a while to let it all sink in. I was one of the Cooper out people, not an angry, spiteful or abusive one, but one full of respect and admiration for the job Coops did for us. I’ll probably never experience a play off final victory again - a memory that will live with me forever, for the football occasion and the friends I was with at the time at Wembley. Thanks Sir Steve.
However, I welcome the new appointment - it is a gamble, as most things worth doing in life, are. I think it’s been carefully considered and makes sense. The bitterness felt amongst many, for the sacking of Steve needs to be put to one side moving forward and Nuno needs to feel the love of the fans from the stands, for the good of our club. We’re all fans of Nottingham Forest, I urge everyone to give him a rapturous welcome on Saturday, so he gets off to the best start possible. COYR🌳🏆🏆

If we start losing against Bournemouth you know the crowd will start belting out the Cooper's songs. I'll be one of em.
If Cooper had stayed and then we’d lost to Bournemouth I think there’s a danger his legacy would start to be spoilt.

As it is, I’d imagine there will be Forza Garibaldi flags of him at the ground forever. He’s our second best manager IMO - slightly better than Frank Clark
