I'm not entirely convinced by Nuno. For example I don't see enough evidence that he intervenes quickly enough to make in-game changes, or that he gets the team fired up, and the persistence of keeping MGW on set pieces while experimenting with other things didn't seem to work week in week out. But what do I know, and if we beat difficult second season syndrome and stay up that's a result of sorts.

Actually, I do know that change has three possible outcomes - better, same or worse - so at face value it's a roll of the dice with unfavourable odds, and a potential distraction that's nearer a last resort than a quick answer. Dude deserves to be listened to in the summer window and a fair tilt at next season. Good luck to him. It's hard to turn a business around inside 6 months.

Nuno isn’t responsible for turning the business around, only coaching the players he is given so they secure our Premier League status and improve on our finishing position.
The business is in the hands of the owner

Correct (y) I meant it as a metaphor for the team in as much as both involve getting folks to do different or better to improve outcomes.

The owner is another subject altogether :giggle:

His in-game management is definitely my biggest concern, alongside his refusal to use the set piece coach to address clear issues.

But he did get sold a bit of a kipper, and employing a manager who likes to work with a small, tight squad to work with ours was typical Forest square-peg round-hole operating. I'm hoping that come close season he can get his teeth into the squad properly, and suss out his options better. His in-game choices may improve when he has both more players here who are to his liking, and a smaller squad to focus on too.

I don't know if it was my my perception being coloured by "oh, we have a set-piece coach now," but did we become marginally better at them at both ends of the pitch around the time he was rumoured to actually be involved with the first team squad? My recollection is that his involvement, if any, was fairly short-lived, but I think I remember us briefly being competent for a few games ...

I remember one of the first games we played when he was here saw us score from a corner.

Don't recall it having any real effect at all, certainly not an improvement. Don't forget even a broken clock is right twice a day.

You're probably the one individual I hoped would answer the question, but I thought you'd come loaded with armful's of numbers! :ROFLMAO:

tbf most of our matches this season have been totally unmemorable and felt like you wanted to gauge your eyes out watching them the first time, revisiting them is f***ing painful

Aside from beating scumchester.

According to the BBC at least one premier league 'boss' is defending a civil case for noncing.

Wonder who TF that is, if it's a current boss or a former PL manager... Though they shouldn't say until they are guilty.

I can still see us going down, but that's more the nightmares we've endured in the past.

Yeah, If we survive, let's get rid of the usurper asap.

Yeah sorry but I just don't see what he brings, we're only staying up because we've come up against literally the three shittest promoted teams in Premier League history not through anything Nuno has brought to the side

And he absolutely shat into his own lungs with those substitutions today

I've said before we should keep him but honestly I'm all for making a change in the summer now

We are playing much better football than we did under Cooper and given we’ve had 40 new players over the last 2 seasons I’m not sure we should expect anymore than scrapping by..

Don’t mind him staying actually, but if we were to replace him….the new guy has to be exciting and young.

Either way, we need some serious depth for once.

Substations. Moving Aina and bringing on Toff. The winning goal came from that side

A change everyone agrees beforehand that was the right move. Hell most people wanted us to start that way.

All season people say toffs is a solid 7/10 player and in the game where we can mathematically be safe, he shits the bed Tavares style.
