You can't fault all the obvious stuff. He has a great workrate, desire, grit and heart. But what I really like are all the little inside balls and lay offs where he seems to find or create really weird angles for the pass.

Against Blackpool even Yates was doing this so I wonder if it is something Nuno is encouraging to help retain possession.

Agreed.

He linked up with Williams (I think) for some really nice neat quick short pass play quite a bit too.

Yes I'd like to see him playing in the No8 role and opposed to No6 when in CM. I can see why he's been deployed as a 6 though because he's so adept at creating the triangles and combinations that can get you out of those tight areas. The way he presses and works does lend itself so well to a 8 and he's got that ability to work those combinations around the area
We talking about Dominguez? I'd say he's generally played more advanced than a 6, he's quite often the highest presser.

The energy he has is that golden nugget required to win games, tackles and relentless work rates is a fine example to any young player wanting to break through into the first team.
I wouldn’t care what position he plays, just needs to start. That said… if he plays the full 90 tomorrow I’d be very surprised

And his goals. He’ll get 5-10 a season with a consistent team around him.

Great player.

He's performing really well recently and he'll contribute plenty of goals if he can cut out some of the Jonny Wilkinson from his game.

Repeating myself, but man I love this guy. Does he have 4 lungs? Covered every blade for 100 minutes tonight, a couple of days after covering every blade for 127 minutes. Astonishing engine and good on the ball too, almost always positive.

Yep, just a shame being wasted out wide. Just don't know how else we fit him in when you also want to get MGW, Yates, Danilo and Sangare in there.

Maybe we ought to consider a 442 diamond again: Sangare in the 6, Dominguez and Danilo in the 8s and MGW in the 10. Taiwo and Elanga up top. Full backs bombing on to provide width.

So far, he has been player of the season for me.
Since his f*** up against West Ham, he has come back stronger and more determined.
A real workhorse of a player. Constant energy.

He's a proper footballer. He just keeps things constantly ticking over, he creates triangles and combination play all over the park and he runs all day for you. He's also really consistent.

I agree, he's player of the season so far

Last year you only needed a half decent press and we simply could not pass through, humping it long to nobody in particular.

Now, we have Murillo who can drill it into midfield and Nico who can comfortably take it anywhere then flip it round the corner or split the lines with a neat pass. I love him. He’s everything I thought Freuler was supposed to be, plus more, like an incredible engine. Great attitude too. Love him.

My motm too. Possibly the best presser of the ball I have ever seen at Forest, he just doesn't give you a second. Completely nullified West Ham yesterday.
