I've found Nick's recent stint as a midfield anchor one of the most pleasing aspects of our recent form. He is clearly a very good footballer who I always felt was slightly wasted pressing in wider areas when we also have pacey wingers who can pin opposition full backs.

He has given great stability to Yatesy's all-round approach and I really like that he's willing to get stuck right in and essentially run himself into the ground each game. I'd always envisaged him as a more forward-looking option, looking to move and breaking into the box, as we saw a few times in pre-season but the deeper role, mopping up the bits and pieces and playing the simple pass looks like just the thing we need at the moment.

Really glad he's reminded folk how good he is. Too many people were happy enough to get rid of him in the summer. He showed when he first arrived that he's one of the hardest working players around - he just got unlucky with fitness issues for a bit. I reckon he's a hell of an asset.
I said at the beginning of the season that Dominguez is the footballers footballer. I guarantee that every player around him loves and appreciates being alongside him.

He's ultra hardworking, pressing aggressively from the front and then closing down all over the pitch, he'll do loads of the donkey work for you out of possession. In possession he'll come deep to get on the ball but he doed it intelligently by positioning himself to create a triangle so we can look to play out of the pres immediately. He's always on the move thereafter looking to create combinations but he'll then suddenly break from that link up at the right moment to pop up in around the box.

He's one of those players that I like to sit and solely watch for 5 minutes to watch what he does. Lovely, lovely player.

His positioning, work-rate, and tackling skills are not to be sniffed at. If you’re in central midfield, those are 3 of the key things you need to succeed.

His passing isn’t bad either.

Remember during the summer that Gala was rumored to be in for this lad and my gala supporting best friend (now roommate) was absolutely shitting himself at the thought of getting Nico.

Genuinely a fantastic baller and I’m glad he isn’t being wasted outwide. And he’s still the sexiest guy at the club.

Can't wait to see his touch/heat map from today. What an engine.

He is like Ngolo Kante, it's amazing how much of a presence he has on the pitch despite being such a small player

There was a moment where he had 3 50/50s in a row in the TE/BC corner & you knew he was going to win every single one of them

Been thinking of the Kante comparison myself in terms of how busy he is. But tbf Kante was genuinely world class. I don't think I've ever seen another player where I have genuinely marvelled at how he can seem like he's in more than one place at the same time

Yeah he was like having 12 players, no suprise in his prime the teams he played in were achieved so much

I think Dom is definitely similar in terms of profile, he just covers so much ground

The balance is so good with him, Yates, and either MGW or Anderson. I'd like to see us try playing all 4 of them with either Anderson or MGW in for one of the wingers and tucking in, two #10s. Yeah I know we've tried that under Cooper, but this is a different team now. Not that I'd want to drop a winger.

Think he's risen up the ranks in the last few games and is so instrumental in both defence and attack, think i prefer him over the two missing CM's
And a reminder to us all that in the close season, don't be comfortable letting anyone of his quality go. FFP or not

Since he's settled on a trim and just gone with the shaved buzz, he's gone about his business. I was a little bit disappointed that Mangala went because I thought he cleaned up the midfield very nicely but Nico has proven himself to be every bit the lawnmower, because he covers the pitch.

He's a groundperson's nightmare.
