We seem to have this 10-15mil threshold we dick around in. I wonder how we’ve determined he’s worth 13 not 17. Quite a lot of uneducated crap in there, reporting wise too.

That said, if you really want a player you have to pony up. Simple. I know he bombed them off but at least the scousers went balls deep at 111m for their target.

In this instance, if true, just offer the money and see what gives.

There’s a lot of supposition in that statement. The only defender we know almost for sure that we’ve bid for is Ibanez. Everything else is conjecture.

Ultimately, we don’t know what constraints the club are working within and what the data modelling suggests is the correct price for this player. What we do know is that no one else is bidding higher than us, so there must be credence in that approach.

Much like Sangare, it doesn’t appear to be lack of ambition that’s holding the club back.

I think lots of us place too much faith in what journalists say at this time of year. But with no football on I guess folk like to get swept away in the drama. Or create it in their head 😂.

Most of my Forest mates haven't got a clue about all of the players we're linked with and just wait for the Fabrizio 'here we go'.....

Ambition is fine. You also have to quickly read situations and react. Sangare being a good example, potentially.

Has Sangare signed for anyone else yet? The deal is still live, until I see him in another teams shirt it will remain so.

I know we wanna scapegoat someone but the club aren’t stupid - we have consistently brought players in for the entire length of the Mariankis ownership so it’s not a case of us not being able to close deals. However, the calibre of player we’re going after requires patience and calculated risk.
