I thought the wall was as good as you could get at Champ level.

I reckon this bloke's going to to to take it to the next level. The Premiership wall. (I know he's coming from Germany but I refraimed from a Berlin wall analogy).
He will add something none of the 3 have, which is pace! That is probably the only question Mar about those three. Long old season, there will be injuries & suspension I suspect all 4 will get plenty of game time.

It’s funny how every national newspaper, and some international ones seem to know our every move now. It really is a different world.

I’m sure we are still keeping things schtum, but the minute a PL team comes after your player, as a selling club you tell the world. Two Prem clubs competing and you can add an extra 20-30% on the price….

All these millions of pounds are doing my head in. After so many years of looking for players with just a few quid in the bank, this is either a real upper or a real downer, depending on how you like the excitement.

It's fun though, isn't it? I mean, Premier League! Still haven't got used to it, though my West Ham son-in-law season ticket holder now speaks to me as an equal in footballing terms, so there is a very real upside to all this in our family at least.

On the downside, I will now have to watch the Premier, just as I was getting used to the Championship.

we're competing with the big boys in the transfer market now and hopefully we can get a few over the line instead of getting gazumped by other clubs once our interests are known.

With all due respect to Steve Cook who has been a rock since January, I can't see us spunking €15m (apparently) on a CB for him to be on the bench as cover.
Well you may not be able to but I can. As a general principle if you identify quality at the right age and price then you take it.
Our back 3 lack a little pace and that’s where they will be tested in the prem. and finally we need a minimum of 4 senior CBs to cover for injury.
Rather than Cook who I think will get a fair amount of game time I wonder what this means for Soh (and to a lesser extent Panzer). He’s no longer a young prospect and clearly isn’t seen as a viable option for that 4th berth

Soh is only just (as in the last few days) turned 21. He's still a young prospect.

Soh is still so young that he wouldn't have to be registered in the 25 man squad to play for us next season. Tough decision for the club to make, whether to send him on loan to get the football he badly needs or keep him about as a squad option without taking a place in the 25.

Less than 10 million euros when they ask for 15 million euros? That offer is always going to get rejected. Silly offer to be honest.
