I think I’m the only person who isn’t concerned about the MGW signing. Totally convinced we’ll get him in the end. Whatever that final price looks like. Don’t really care about the fee.

Don’t think there’s any indication that this “blows our budget” either as we remain in for a number of other targets across a number of positions

More concerned now about the grains of sand in this window starting to run out with quite a bit of work to do. Other teams doing the same and the reality of being the new, smaller fish in the Prem pond starting to hurt our recruitment - “bigger” teams swooping in, continentals turning us down, relegation risk a turn off etc…

Really hope we can secure the four-five extra quality players we need at this stage. Fancy MGW is currently the only one we WILL definitely land!?

How long do we have - 20 days or something? I think we've seen we can bring people through the door in numbers this window, though I take the point on quality - as we've seen with Moreno the road can be bumpy.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not in counselling or losing sleep on this! Just think those final parts of the rebuild in this window will be the most challenging to get the players we want and need. Not the MGW situation which I’m sure will get done in the end. Forest have shown we can get 25 players in on a single deadline day so I accept numbers ain’t the issue!!

Agreed - as said I take the point that bringing in quality is harder.

Hang on, initially everyone was saying it's harder to get players in at the start of the window!

Wolves close to Boubacar Traore apparently. Not exactly like for like in midfield, but would allow Lage to go back to his preferred 3-4-3 if MGW is out of the equation

I think it will go quiet for the next week or so on the MGW front and then it will happen.

I feel like we are just waiting for Wolves to sign replacements.

With hindsight it does feel like an error not going for him hard earlier in the window. The plan probably was that the price would drop but with Wolves' circumstances at the minute it's probably done the opposite.

Yeah we’ve been very patient with a few of these later targets, just means we have to deal with a bad bench and compromised attack until we can get them in
