Paper talk says we've put a £100m on MGW if City want to buy him... in other news Hojlund being offered by Utd for £52 million..

Morgan is priceless.

In midfield, he's the engine and the creative spark. Backtracks and fights harder than most. Natural captain characteristics.

They can keep talking but.....

Good luck getting that fee! I might be interested at just over half that, but 52m for a confidence destroyed 'goalscorer' (1 in 3 at best) who can't hold the ball up? Pass!

(Do believe there's a player in there but you don't punt at that price!)

Manchester City will have to pay £100m if they want to sign Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, 25, this summer. (Talksport)

Don’t want him to leave for any price and as others have said, warning signs from players like Grealish and Phillips. Depends on him as a person, what he wants etc… but IF we qualify for Europe and build the squad he can stay, be loved, play every week, earn a pretty decent whack of money even if it’s not £100 million a year and hopefully be in contention for some silverware too. He’ll get in Tuchel’s squad if he’s good enough and fits the system/what he wants from a player. Look at Henderson who’s been playing at Ajax and from Sangare’s move we know the leap from the Dutch league to the Premier League.

Essentially - don’t leave us!!!!!

In our eyes why would any player want to leave us when we are most likely to have European nights just round the corner? But Tony Woodcock did, Trevor Francis did. We have always been cherry picked. Collymore, Webb, Anderson, Storey-Moore. Even Shilton did one and it wasn't even a big club. It's a downer but we survive and sometimes even thrive.

I think we'll get another season out of him. I'd imagine next season he'll be an even better version of himself.

Fantastic player with a fantastic attitude. Enjoy him while he's ours.

I reckon he'll stay for a European campaign then accept a big offer. Who can blame him.?

It's a short career anyway and you're only ever one kick away from the end. It won't happen to me, you say. Believe it can.

He looks knackered to me, just like the rest of them. Nobody else can give us what he does though so there's no chance of him getting a rest any time soon.

See the City rumours have picked up the pace again but The Times also added that we weren't interested in selling and are not in a position where we have to. For me, I think it all comes down to whether or not Morgan wants to sign a new deal or not, because if he doesn't, I don't think he'll be worth any more than he is right now to us with two years left.

It's a difficult one, because depending on how the next 7 or potentially 8 games go, we could be FA Cup Winners and in next year's Champions League, would Morgan really not want to be a part of that considering that along with Taiwo, Nico and Yatesy, he's one of the only lads to be with us through that entire journey?

On paper, City pays him more and he probably finds the route into the England side easier. But, then you look at what they've done with Grealish and they can casually buy 50-60m players. He goes from an automatic start and a focus point here, to a squad player there, maybe not at first but eventually.

I don't think he goes, personally.

I agree but I'd caveat that with it being entirely dependent upon us being in the CL. As much as I hate to say it, CL qualification is far more important and significant to our future than winning the FA Cup. Not only does it change the transfer pool that we can swim in, it also means we potentially keep several key players that we might otherwise lose.

Personally I think MGW enjoys being a bigger fish in a smaller pool. I think he will stay but that won't last forever because he's highly ambitious and wants to win silverware, we need to continue matching that ambition and genuinely be in the running for silverware ourselves.

It he ends up in a position where he chooses us or them, I wouldn't be so confident.

Sure, he'll get (potentially) a year of Champions League football with us next year, but he'll get it every year at City, and titles to boot. And he'll get regular England caps as Tuchel clearly wants players from the "big 6".

If we win the FA Cup, there's a chance that players will see it as a good time to leave on a high after achieving something huge here.

That all said, City would need to pay more than they did for Grealish.

Bin VAR!
Next 6 weeks are a bit of a sliding doors moment again, much like the play off final and staying up the last 2 years. Get CL and we can really push on, miss out and I can see one of the big players leaving. Pressure will then be on recruitment to keep up the excellent work.
Wish we’d get an update on the ground as well!

I think he'll go if we don't make CL. That being said, he'll be a squad player at MC and his little flicks will be coached out of his game after he loses possession one too many times...

He will see his career go down the toilet, like Jack Grealish.
Pep doesn't like risk takers in midfield.

Let’s not assume it would be City. Carragher has been openly touting the Scousers for weeks ( slimy toad ).
At least several clubs interested would help increase the price..

They only want him so he can't play against them 😎
I think Anderson would do a better job for us and a bob or two to spend on strengthening the squad
