Good luck to him. Sure it didn't work out for us but he seems a decent guy and hopefully he can get his career back on track somewhere else.

Providing of course Crystal Palace finish below us and he concedes at least 7 goals should we ever play against him going forward.

Hope it works out for him. Too error-prone to have a future with us and would be under a lot of pressure any time we ended up having to play him, but always seemed fully committed from the touchline when he wasn’t playing, eg during the penalties the other night.

Dear oh dear

No one is going to sign him on a permanent are they

they won despite this, and he made a number of saves, but we know he has a ricket in him

Meh, that was slightly harder than the one their number one failed to keep out at the WFCG the other day.

That was my initial thought, and then my next thought afterwards was that was the sort of thing that used to happen too often, which is why we ended up dropping points.

I wanted him to succeed here but I don't regret us pressing the panic button and bringing in Sels instead.

Fingers crossed he can do enough of the clangers that don't look too bad like last night to earn that move. It's when he goes all spurs at home we really have to worry...

(And I still find it incredible that we don't have a proper third keeper while letting last year's clowns out - says a lot about our judgement of them!)

It almost sounds like a compliment to Vlach and Turner when we say "Nobody is better than you".

It's because we've assessed we don't and won't need a third keeper. Not this season, not any season.

Turner and Vlach were meant to be one and two last season, we only brought Sels in because panic.

Sels and Miguel are the one and two this season obviously.

If we have any other keepers on the books it is only because we can't get rid of them and they are contracted here. Hennessey last year for example, we didn't really want him but there we go. Turner was allowed to go because remarkably there was interest.

You've cursed it now.
It's almost a given that we'll be missing Sels AND Carlos Miguel through some random happenstance involving a combination of injury and suspension, purely because you've made that statement 😁

It's alright, Joe Worrall can deputise like he did previously.

As I've said before it's an insurance policy, and if you didn't need a third keeper on your books then clubs wouldn't have them.

My hope is that the ex Southend lad we got from city is thought of as ready to deputise should he need to, though I'm not even sure if he's been training with the first team goalkeeper group?

Pretty sure he must have been whilst Sels was away on International duty, unless Bott did?

Some people will disagree with the necessity but I think it's evident that the club have decided two senior keepers are enough.

We've only got two strikers and we're managing...
