This is the first interview of his that I have been able to watch all the way through.
His other interviews have just been too blunt and boring.
He actually comes across well in this

It's like when you hate your job but somehow start to enjoy it in the final two weeks of your notice.

Thinking of the fixture tonight I worry about that result. With Everton safe, will they relax just enough for the Luton spirit to propel them to victory?
I think a Luton win is a foregone conclusion.. but we are playing the bottom two teams and a beatable Chelsea so it shouldn’t matter too much

Many folk on here said exactly the same before Luton played Bretford.

Strangely many also considered that Luton would beat Wolves at Molineux too.

The beatable Chelsea that are 6th in the form table over the last 8 games and who in Cole Palmer have one of the outstanding talents in the entire league....hmmmm.

We win our games we stay up.

The fear that Luton become Brazil from 1970 and their opponents become....well Luton from 2023 is probably justified but it could all mean nothing for them.

I was past caring whether we stayed up or not but Everton fans and their absolute idiocy as well as watching them play a game resembling football but that should come with a warning (Or only be seen on crimewatch) means I hope we stay up to get revenge on those duffers next year. I am especially looking forward to their new stadium being owned by quantuma.

Murillo will score from over 30 yards this Saturday.

The only stats that matter are that we have already beaten Sheffield and drawn Burnley.
Repeat that and we will stay up

I agree

But there was some discussion about a tweet saying that the only PL win we had vs a promoted side was the reverse fixture.

This is patently untrue, unless one chooses to arbitrarily draw back to some mid season point to make it so, and ignoring the fact that in 94-5 when we were a promoted side ourselves we doubled both of the other promoted sides who ended up relegated.

It's selective quoting, and I'm sure that if they wanted to say the record this year was bad, or since promotion in 2022 there's only the one win, but before then?

Our PL record is shocking in general. Founder members and going into it off what, 20 odd years in the top flight, relegated 22nd in the first season. Promoted again then relegated again 3 years later, and 2 years after that, 20 odd years out of it and then scraping back up and into it by parking the bus and hitting it to a fast lad to break down defences. 1 away win all season last time, and we look like 17th at best this time too. Only 3 seasons including last we have been in the PL and not been relegated at the end of it.

We should win this, there's no reason why not, they've almost done 100 against and aren't too far above the sheep's points total. We should beat Burnley too. As we should have done earlier in the season and should have won both matches vs Luton. But this is where we are.

The promoted sides last season were also better than this. This season both of them have also kicked on further, but then we did beat Fulham.

If we don't get more points than Luton in the remaining 3 games, do we deserve to stay up?

Yeh I don’t think anyone questions if we deserve to stay up, we don’t if we can’t win games. I’d just like some form of stability though because it’s the only way to successfully compete on the pitch. Of course there’s some gaps on the pitch, but most of the games we are actually looking the part at least!

Can a club who has probably been through 1000 players and 30 managers in between have a DNA?

They manage to find the DNA of the child who's mum has been through 1000 players on the Jeremy Kyle show.

If the worst happens tonight we just need to win tomorrow to nullify Luton's win with only 2 games remaining.

Ridiculous how we’ve managed to get to this hoping for other teams to help us. Something really does need to happen regarding player recruitment and such. It seems sometimes the fans know better than the recruiting team

Have to say, the butterflies are starting already.

I need to stop thinking about this game for awhile or I'll be absolutely demented come 3pm tomorrow.

But I can't stop thinking about it.

Please don't be shit away from home for once and win Forest. A real opportunity to drag ourselves out of this mess after tonight's result at Luton.
Hoping for a repeat of the play off game. Which despite the close scoreline has to be one of the most one-sided away performances I've seen from a Forest side.

Also a special shout out to my first visit to Bramall Lane - a 3-1 win under Platt with Christian Edwards scoring after about 2 mins.

If we score first, they’ll be shit-scared to throw men forward and leave CHO and Elanga in space for the counter. If they open the scoring, we’ve got enough to come back and open ‘em up. Their roid-ragers in the stands will start turning on their team, and most probably each other, as soon as we hit the net, making it all the easier.

I normally take a pessimist-is-never-disappointed approach to Forest games but, in this case, it’s us all the way.

Ugly stat if true. 11 of the 19 were decades ago, but something in our dna seems to prefer to play underdog…View attachment 38908

So from the scores that Statto posted, Browser79's post was correct then as the Boro Away draw (Mar 16, 1996) was later in the season than our home game against them, making it the 19th most recent game. The 1-0 Home game (Dec 30th 1995) would be the 20th most recent game against a promoted club. The two Bolton games were even earlier in that season.

Strangely i've been quite calm all week which is in stark contrast from this time last season. But after watching the Luton-Everton match my mood has turned from "worryingly relaxed" to "worryingly combative".

Both of those sides we watched tonight should be in the Hague for crimes against football. League Two performances on show and as someone reminded me in the watch-along thread, we only managed to take 2 points from the 4 games involving Everton and Luton. TWO POINTS.
From the collapse at home to Luton, the meek home performance against Everton in December, yet another collapse against Luton and yet another passive shitshow against Everton. The one common denominator isn't the managers, its the players.

If our lot don't turn up at Bramall Lane tomorrow with the same mindset that they did at home to City having an actual goal of winning the game then the whole lot of them deserve the Championship. But therein lies the problem, half of our "stars" will be on the blower to the agent by the time they've left Turf Moors car park.

Ultimatum time. An already relegated Sheffield United with every single pundit, journalist, talking head, the Premier League and the PGMOL and fans in general hoping for us to fail.

Win or f**k off.
