The game:

I know we can play decent football when the players are instructed / coached to do so, so I don’t understand what I have just watched.
Playing the ball around at the back looks nice and can also mean the start of build up play, but after that there was really nothing going on.

I don’t understand why we didn’t simply go for it like in home games.
Aina didn’t go forward, Elanga is rusty after his injury, Reyna did nothing at all, was a passenger and as to the discussion about Mr. Yates, we saw what he brings when he came on which was nothing. MGW was pressed all of the time and had no influence on the game which resulted in us having to use high balls into the box against a very solid defense which was destined to failure.
Wood was off on runs a few times but no one either saw it or was on the same wavelength.

For me I am starting to doubt Nuno as to how we approach games, as I had no idea that this was the same team that has sometimes played so well this season.

On a positive note, the young lad (Ribero ?) who came on looks promising, just needs to get match sharp for the Prem.
I still think we can do this but Nuno really does need to go for it and stop messing about with trying not to lose. I mean, how many times have we witnessed that this season ?

Back to my beer which is not tasting as good as it should right now

But what the hell do I know !

That’s fair we are all entitled to our opinions. I don’t think we have had a corrupt level of officiating. It is what it is, if we just performed 10% better and the board actually did their jobs competently we would easily safe now. That’s is the biggest problem at Forest I feel not VAR.

I agree with you about performing better, but it really must knock the stuffing out of the players when these blatant decisions go against us almost weekly.

Disagree, also in matches where we played well we were screwed by ref/VAR. So even if we played 10% better it would not be enough to compensate for the apparently not corrupt ref/VAR decisions.

So the ref didn't give the CHO pen because he thought young got the ball first but clearly he did not. At that point the game potentially 1 all, and we have all to play for

Surely VAR says they are looking. Taylor says “Young gets ball first for me” and when VAR watch the replay they go “doesn’t look like he did mate. Do you want to have another look?” Then Taylor looks at it, realises Young gets no ball at all and then has no excuse not to award the penalty.

You know, the correct VAR process that happens every week in European football?

Alf where I have to disagree was the sacking of cooper. Cooper to me at the start of this season just wasn’t good enough. To be dropping deep at home to Paul Heckingbothams Sheffield United was appaling. Cooper and the board were all bad at the start of this season. I agree he did a wonderful job to keep us up. But I expected far more progression.
Whether you agree or disagree, it is indisputable that his sacking has caused negativity amongst sections of our fanbase, which is my point.

You constantly trying to justify his sacking doesn't change the reaction and ill feeling it has caused.

Everyone is calling out the decisions but without recourse and action. Now Forest will take it further having expected fair treatment like the rest. Huge applause to Forest for this

Bigger balls than our midfield today

Completely agree. We could have played better in many games this season for sure but you can’t deny that ‘poor’ officiating has cost us a lot of points too. You can’t just roll over and accept that.

There's more than enough VAR evidence over the season to call it corrupt and see where the chips fall in court.

Given each point has a nominal cash value, as does PL survival, there appears to be a case to answer: time to drag it into public, where PGMOL and the PL don't want it.
Expecting the courts to re-referee games is utterly futile. No judge is going to get involved in deciding whether or not Ashley Young gave away a penalty. It's just not going to happen and the club pretending that it is is being dishonest. Any of the very expensive lawyers we have on speed-dial can tell Marinakis that he's making an ass of himself and of the club -- and that will be £20,000 for the advice please.

It was me, I put the tweet out. I've been warning you all since 10.30am this morning

"Stuart Atwell is on VAR and you'll be delighted to know he's a Luton fan. Another amazing piece of fuckwittery from the PGMOL. Has he got previous, I hear you ask. Well...

"He did make headlines when he awarded a goal for Reading against their bitter rivals Watford despite the ball crossing the line outside the back post".

You're missing the point. Pgmol have rules about official's allegiance, and the court case will assert that they were negligent in not applying those rules.

Exactly you can accept a ref making a error in split second but you can't accept refs watching it in VAR room on a video replay and not giving it, or not being consistent on what is considered handball, a penalty offence etc.

they dont have to prove wether Ashley Young gave away a penalty.
They have to prove that the PGMOL did not do their side of things fairly and evenly throughout the season ... which shouldn't be too difficult
