Re: LTLF 2021 / 2022 Forum Award Thread

Thought this was going to be about best thread of the year, funniest post etc.

Player of the Year (Ability): Spence
Your Favourite Forest Player: Yates
Goal of the Season: Surridge vs Swansea
Best Atmosphere at City Ground: Sheff Utd 2nd leg play-off
Favourite Game: Weird one, but QPR at home. Massive game needed to win and we did so having to come from behind. Felt like we were going to end up top six no matter what after that.
Worst Game: Bournemouth away. Absolutely gutted to get so close to being top two to throw it away with an abject 2nd half performance, the worst under Cooper.
Favourite Moment: Na na na na na na na na na na (Hughton getting the sack on my birthday would have won if we didn't go up at Wembley).
Worst Moment: Kieffer f***ing Moore.
Most Improved Player: Yates
Signing of the Season (Player, Overall): Spence
Loan Player of the Season (Player, Overall): Spence
Pointless Signing of the Year (Player): Drager
Scapegoat of the Year (Player, not Hughton): Figgy.
One to Watch (Youth Player): Dale Taylor
Saddest to See Go (Permenant Player): Honestly, none.
Position Pre-Season You Thought We'd Finish: 14th
Least Favourite Team in the Championship Besides Derby: Bournemouth, Huddersfield ("why are you letting fireworks off?"), Sheff Utd, WBA (Keith Stroud bummers)

Goal of the Season: Colback vs West Brom (H)
Best Atmosphere at City Ground: Sheffield United Playoff second leg.
Favourite Game: Blackpool Away
Worst Game: Middlesbrough Home
Favourite Moment: Has to be those 2mins in the away end at Bristol. Absolute carnage, and in many ways a catalyst for what came after.
Worst Moment: Having to get a taxi back from Cardiff away as I was too drunk to see the train time table.
Most Improved Player: Ryan Yates
Signing of the Season (Player, Overall): Steve Cook
Loan Player of the Season (Player, Overall): Djed Spence

One less gobshite...
Apologies if I'm over-stepping by making this but I wanted to get everyone's votes on our season, so if you could indulge me.
All are for this season only.

Player of the Year (Ability): James Garner. He's not the complete package yet but he's going to be great in a couple of years when experience will give him a higher level of consistency. He's been a joy to watch this season.
Your Favourite Forest Player: Jack Colback. He really bought his experience to bear this year. A 21st Century Bomber. Even when he was filling in at LWB, he was still cleaning up for Garner. Score some essential goals and was ever industrious.
Goal of the Season: Keinan Davis- 2nd goal against Reading. Sublime dribbling to leave 4 defenders behind and then to curl it around 2 more to leave the keeper unsighted. Got the potential to become a Emile Hesky type player.
Best Atmosphere at City Ground: Swansea (attended) Then it would be a fight out for Liverpool and Sheff Utd 2nd leg by reputation.
Favourite Game: Fulham at home. When Cooper made 2 positive substitutions at 2-0 down, I was certain the spell was broken and new magic was being concocted.
Worst Game: Cardiff away. Felt the vortex of old times as Owd Disappointment made a fleeting reprise.
Favourite Moment: Fake fivers for Derby.
Worst Moment: Cardiff goal, the combo of McKenna and Cooke was like a reprise of Holt and Cullip.
Most Improved Player: Ryan Yates. Learned to swim with the best.
Signing of the Season (Player, Overall): Djed. Enough said.
Loan Player of the Season (Player, Overall): Davis. Gave us steel and an ability to force transitions.
Pointless Signing of the Year (Player): Was there one? This question feels loaded against Laryea, but was it really pointless?
Scapegoat of the Year (Player, not Hughton): Horvath. One mistake early doors and everyone held it against him unreasonably, I felt.
One to Watch (Youth Player): Larson.
Saddest to See Go (Permenant Player): does not compute
Position Pre-Season You Thought We'd Finish: 14th +/- 3 places.
Least Favourite Team in the Championship Besides Derby: Luton. Although I thought they did well all things considered, it was sad to see Paul Hart and Chris Cohen associated with that anti-football.
