The PSR situation has changed how I view players like LOB. We either move him on prior to 30 June to help address the 23/24 PSR position or, if that's not possible, we keep him here next year to take the squad place when Kouyate departs.

I remember Lewis O Brien as a class central midfielder in our promotion year. The lad has been very unlucky with the Blackburn debacle ruining that season although he did well in the states. Illness and injury have blighted much of this season but a consistent run in the side has coincided with Boro going on a good run up the league.
I reckon there would be a fair amount of options for him next season if he stays fit.

Wycombe fan here with a quick Dale Taylor report, now that the season is winding down.

42 appearances in all competitions
8 goals (though 3 were in EFL Trophy)
2 assists

He has played better in the 10, close to Vokes or Lubala, than as the striker himself. We have certainly been able to get a lot of mileage out of him this season, as he has been pretty durable, and hopefully that appearance count will benefit Forest either way as you decide next steps.

He almost scored the goal of the century a few weeks back, wriggling by half the other team (can't remember who) from the halfway line a la Maradona, before his shot was saved in the box. What might have been!

My own verdict is that League One is around his level currently. If we somehow got him in on a permanent I would be perfectly content, as he has shown enough to be a solid player at this level. I have no idea if he will develop any higher. He is only 20, but obviously a big jump to the Champo. He has a pretty decent chance of being in the starting lineup at Wembley for the Trophy final.

Cheers for the loan either way - hopefully we have built a good relationship with your management over this, and can grab a gem on loan for 24/25!
It would be a brilliant experience for him to play in a Wembley final. He started in the FA Youth Cup Final at Old Trafford a few years back which was sold out so he shouldn't be over-awed by the occasion.

He did really well at Burton last season so it's good to see that he has continued to develop. It probably won't happen for him at Forest but he's an asset that we can make a profit on in the future.

I would expect Dale to be involved on Sunday, either as a starter or sub, for sure.

He does have a great attitude, and is well liked around the club. Luke Leahy does a funny impression of him too (15:48 in the video below if anyone cares).

Hopefully he will make a career somewhere in the top three divisions and bring you some benefit.

Last time I did one of these was February 21, so will try and pick up from there. Sorry, it's been a weird end to the season and busier at work these days.

Will try to do a bit of a round up of fans' comments in the coming days.

Aguilera on 12 games 2 goals now I think. I went on their forum and he'd been getting some sub par ratings recently, with the word lightweight thrown around. Whether that's a level thing I'm not sure, but they weren't arsed about keeping him.

Interesting about Aguilera, though. I had hoped he would do better there.

Me too - to be fair finding info wasn't easy: I based his recent performance feedback on their scores out of ten, often coming with one word review, and it might be that particular poster just doesn't rate him.

They've been through a pretty shit time by the state of their forum - you'll enjoy that bit of research!

Doing a bit more reading on him they would like him back next season but playing further forward, with a couple saying he's on to bigger and better things - it can't have been as bad as the guy giving him fours and fives each week has it! Apparently they're terrible too!

Doesn't look like anyone listed there is going to give the Forest manager a headache.

Flog the older ones for whatever we can get and send out the younger ones again.

Marko Stamenic made his competitive debut for Olympiacos 57 minutes into their away game against Volos FC. Biancone made way for the New Zealander as our sister club won their first match in this year's Greek Super League 2-0.

Esapa Osong came on after 79 minutes of Rotherham United's 1-0 opening day defeat at Exeter in League One. He made the pitch after 81 minutes of his side's 2-1 win at home to Crewe in the League Cup. He then got the final 6 minutes of the Millers' 0-0 stalemate at home to Bristol Rovers on Saturday. Some pretty tough competition for places at Rotherham this year. Hope he can make his mark.

Jonathan Panzo didn't make the staring 11 in either of Rio Ave's first two fixtures, a 3-1 defeat at Sporting and a 1-0 home win over Farense this weekend. He was an unused sub in the Farense game. It's early in the season, but I can't see any way he's at Forest next year.

Lewis O'Brien has featured just once since joining LAFC on July 30 this year. He entered the fray for the final 25 minutes of LA's 3-0 Leagues Cup win at Seattle Sounders on August 17. Perhaps he can start to work his way into the line-up after what is, maybe, a short period of adjustment.

Slim pickings, same as last year only with fewer loanees. No-one's made a start as yet! Just hoping for a kid breakout season. Hopefully, that's not going to be too much to ask...

Stamenic hasn't quite found his footing yet after his injury, but flashes of quality are there.

It's still the case that none of our loanees have made a start.

Esapa Osong didn't make the pitch in Rotherham United's 2-0 defeat away at Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday. He got the final three minutes in the Millers' 2-1 EFL Cup defeat at Fleetwood tonight (Tuesday).

Marko Stamenic was a 49th minute sub as Olympiacos beat Kallithea 2-1 at home in the Greek Super League on Monday.

Lewis O'Brien scored after coming on to the pitch in the 64th minute of LAFC's 4-0 home victory versus Colorado Rapids last Wednesday. He featured for the second half of their following match, the Leagues Cup final against Columbus Crew. LA lost 3-1.

Omar Richards didn't feature in Rio Ave's 2-0 defeat at Porto on Saturday in Liga Portugal. Jonathan Panzo came on just before half time.

Any chance you can add Nelson Abbey to your loaner watch sammy? Seeing as he’s supposedly being groomed for us.

Your work is much appreciated Sammy.

Marko Stamenic made his full debut for Olympiacos in a 3-0 away victory at Lamia in the Greek Super League. Stamenic lasted for 85 minutes and picked up a 6.8 rating on Flashscore.

David Carmo made his Greek Super League bow in the above game. He came on a sub in the 54th minute and also picked up a 6.8 rating for his performance.

Esapa Osong came on in the 93rd minute of Rotherham United's 2-1 home win against Huddersfield Town last Saturday in League One.

Aaron Donnelly was an unused sub for Colchester United's League Two 1-1 draw at Accrington Stanley on Saturday. Centre midfielder Jamie McDonnell didn't make the matchday squad for this one having just joined the club on deadline day.

Manni Norkett didn't make Cheltenham Town's matchday squad for Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Walsall. Like McDonnell, he joined his loan club on deadline day.

Dale Taylor played for the last 30 minutes of Wigan Athletic's 2-1 defeat at Birmingham City on Saturday. Paul Kendrick from the Wigan Observer gave him a 6 out of 10, but seemed excited to have the young forward on board at the League One club.

Omar Richards lasted 76 minutes of Rio Ave's 1-0 home victory over Arouca on Sunday in the Liga Portugal. He posted a 7.3 on Flashscore.

Jonathan Panzo played the full 90 in Rio Ave's game above. He received a 7.1 Flashscore rating.

Lewis O'Brien played the full game for LAFC in their 1-0 away win at Seattle Sounders in midweek. He was taken off in the 77th minute of their next game, a 2-0 defeat at home to Houston Dynamo at the weekend. He was handed a 7 on Flashscore for the first match and a 6.6 for the Houston tie.

Josh Bowler didn't make Preston North End's squad for their 3-1 defeat at Oxford United at the weekend. Bowler's loan move was confirmed just prior to deadline day.

Matt Turner didn't make Crystal Palace's squad for their 1-1 draw at Chelsea on Sunday. Turner joined the Eagles on deadline day.

Olympiacos loanee Nelson Abbey was an unused substitute on Saturday as Swansea City lost 1-0 at West Bromwich Albion in the Championship. He was hooked after 58 minutes of their recent EFL Cup defeat at home to Wycombe, posting a 6.8 on Flashscore.

First Team Squad
Thanks for taking the time to do this, but is depressing that there does not seem to be anyone who will ever make our 1st team. Just explains why we are buying young under 18 players as we have no-one coming through the ranks

It isn't great. I guess the big hope this year for me is Stamenic. Maybe he develops in such a way that he can play a part here soon. Although, last year's big hope was Omar Richards and look how that turned out.

Apart from him, I can't see any of the kids on loan threatening the first team. Maybe that's why we've brought in the likes of George Murray-Jones, Kristian Fletcher and Da Silva Moreira. Moreira looks like he could feature this year, if called upon. I hope Abbott gets a few Cup games and then helps Yatesy keep our home-grown talent production line going.

Our recruitment has been excellent, which is helping me feel extremely positive about the future. When we go to do some squad pruning next summer, we'll be able to loan out a higher quality of player. At the end of the season I don't doubt we'll have to replace a star or two, perhaps add a new keeper, striker and left back. But after that we could well be replacing/loaning fringe players of the calibre of Dominguez and Omobamidele, unless they can play their way into Nuno's plans. Most of the Championship-era additions will have dropped out of the squad as well.

In short, I think we're good enough to make a step into 12th to 14th, and once we're there we've got a great chance to build something really special. And then hopefully these roundups won't be quite so depressing.
