If he can play LB as well then we've got cover for both positions with one player so two birds with one stone as it were. In fact, if he can play CB and CM too as reported, he might be a useful utility player.

And yes I know, Calderwood got us promoted. He got Forest promoted from League One by the skin of his teeth, that's no achievement to brag about.

Yes I don't disagree (it was more a play on Cloughie's "in the top 1" quote and less to do with accuracy). I actually like Calderwood though. He was terrible at Championship level (and at most average at L1) and was rightly dismissed but he bought some good players and I liked the team overall. And at least McClaren & McLeish did the honorable thing and walked before they dragged us down even further.
I'm more astonished Chelsea have agreed to loan us anyone after the Chalobah debacle.

In a 15 years where we have nothing at all to brag about Calderwood performed a minor miracle in getting us up. We have been rubbish ever since with Davies getting us to perform awfully in the play offs our next best achievment.

I am not normally ITK and as you can see I hardly ever post (although do read) but Todd Kane is a done deal and will be joining tomorrow (Thursday). He is essentially an attacking RB but can play elsewhere. Whether he is good enough to do so for what will hopefully be a play-off pushing Championship side is another matter. He has good pace, been with Chelsea since very young but is very well grounded.
