Yes, they’ve done well in the circumstances to take their season this far. I go to see them from time to time and saw them get their first win in the autumn against Cambridge and another one a few months ago against Port Vale (when Alex Mighten came on as a sub for PV and did nothing to suggest he should’ve started).Fair play to Cheltenham. A truly horrendous start to their League One campaign, they have somehow rallied and take their relegation battle all the way to the last match of the season. Between them, Burton, and Cambridge.
Worked for Huddersfield in 2016/17. Pretty much rested their whole 1st XI for the last 3 games and went up via the playoffs. I remember them getting dicked by Birmingham who were fighting us for survival at the time.Cause that really works when preparing for the play-offs.
That's a genuinely heartwarming clip Donny. Thanks for posting it.Well, Donny Rovers need a point to qualify for the playoffs, after going on a run of 10 consecutive wins (IIRC, they've got something daft like 13 wins in the last 15).
This post isn't actually about that, but, gives me a chance to share this from BBC Radio Sheffield, which, shows what football means to some.
Mental.Barnsley are in the league one playoffs 4 days after sacking there manager.
