With the way Stuttgart are losing players this summer, do you fear you're in for a difficult season?
Depends on how the spend the money coming in, and how they invest the new money from Porsche, to be honest.

Recent seasons have been a struggle for a number of reasons, but with the financial stability of the club now assured it seems, most fans are looking forward to seeing some progress on the pitch this season.

According to Oikonomidis, Napoli had offered 20m last week and their offeir was denied both by the club, who wanted more, and by the player, who did not really want to go to Italy (which proves that the earlier story that he did not wish to play in the Premier was rubbish as I had suspected). That's too steep a price for a position you are not really desperate to bring in players, hence you pulled out quickly.

Absolutely. Weirdly, although Dinos is probably the best pure footballing centre-back at the club, they also have Waldemar Anton, Dan-Axel Zagadou and the Japanese international Hiroki Ito (another player I really like) in that position, so it isn’t currently an area of pressing need, hence holding out for a bigger fee.

Money, that if it comes, will spent on attacking reinforcements and another central midfielder now Wataru Endo has gone to the scousers.

What's with Stuttgart and Greek CBs? Mavropanos' replacement will be St. Galen's Leonidas Stergiou (OK, not entirely Greek, of Greek descent, born and raised in Switzerland, and a Swiss international).

West Ham agree fee for Stuttgart's Mavropanos

West Ham have agreed a fee of around £19m including add-ons with Stuttgart for defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.
The Greece international is expected to fly into the UK on Saturday night ahead of a medical on Sunday.

Per sky sports.
