At first glance it seems a bit odd considering his age, but we do need 8 homegrown players in the 25 man squad (looks like he trained at Sunderland as a youngster), so who knows.

I actually completely disagree - Nixon is often a mouthpiece for agents and clubs manoeuvring stories around for whatever reason, but that in and of itself is part of the game and interesting.

He doesn’t just make stuff up for a laugh, but you need to try and read between the lines and the implications of his reports.

What are we on at the minute? Elanga, Hudson Odoi, Williams, Gibbs White, Aina, Awoniyi, Yates, Toffolo... Anderson if he comes... Any more - Wood?

Indeed. If Pedro Ferriera can find a potential quality CB from Brazil, Egan could provide a relatively cheap back-up back-up option. I expect that Nuno will be well aware of him from Wolves v Blunts fixtures.

Can't blame Eagan - only played six games due to blowing his knee out!

In fairness to Eagan, while I don't want him he's played more games at Prem level than you'd perhaps think (70 odd) and is supposedly a decent sort.

I still don't want him though I'm not against a smattering of experience in the squad - we could use some.

Given the state of Sheffield United‘s defence last season, they could sign Davros at centre half and he’d be a more mobile, better choice than they were able to previously field.

He was also beautifully robbed by Joe Lolley in the play offs. Would personally be disappointed with this one considering his age, injury record and frankly general shitness.
