Maybe, and I'm not defending them in any way here - but maybe they thought it best to concoct a story about data regulations rather than coming out and telling the World that they'd banned a prominent journalist for being drunk and disorderly whilst carrying out duties for his employer?

Whatever way you look at it what we have is a story which was blown up out of all proportion by the press and used by people with an axe to grind against Price/Forest for which they (forest)took an awful lot of critisism and abuse when actually the truth would now allegedly appear to be that a journalist got pissed and made a complete arse of himself and as a result the club decided they didn't want him back again. How much damage did he (allegedly)cause?

I have no idea.

You were the one that alleged Price made up a story about data when actually the journalist was supposedly drunk in the press box.

I just came up with a theory to back up that claim. I didn't suggest there was any truth to that hypothesis.

I suppose calling someone (a) drunk has a lot more legal ramifications (considering they were working) than saying he breached a rule that most do and no ones bothered about.
