Jim McInally's XI (with 5 Forest team-mates included)

Kjetil Osvold's Cat

Kingsley Black
I noticed this selection by Jim McInally (former Forest right back - when forest forever's Youtube videos were viewable there were some highlights of a game vs Ipswich where IIRC he assisted a goal - I remember the name but not so much the player from my early days watching Forest):

So, he includes HVB in goal plus young Des Walker, Johnny Metgod, John Robertson and Garry Birtles along with team-mates at Celtic (although he didn't play much for them) and Dundee United.

On the flip side, he picks his Dundee United manager rather than Clough (though credits his Dundee United boss for his personal development and he played there a long time so perhaps understandable) and he prefers Malpas to Pearce (who I recall scored a free-kick, maybe his first, in that Ipswich game I mention http://www.bridportred.com/1980s/1985-1986/1985-1986 results & teams.htm). Peter Davenport isn't included as Birtles and Charlie Nicholas take the striker spots. I see Nicholas was indeed capable of special goals at Celtic though:

Jim McInally , i thought was a good right back. Very underrated , had a great first season but ran afoul of Clough in his 2nd season after a couple of poor games and subsequently sold. Was sad to see him go especially when his replacements were the likes of Gary fleming and steve chettle - ugh !

I rated him as a player. One of our best ever right backs during my time watching Forest.
