Perch filled in many times this season when Bargain of the Season French International Yoann Cabaye has been injured or suspended. Perchy has been awesome now he has settled at Newcastle as his 1st season there was a struggle for him to adapt to the pace but he doing very well up there.

Apologies to anyone offended by that, but do Juventus make a big deal about not playing on May 29? What about Bradford City not playing on May 11 (not entirely sure about that date)? Or Rangers not playing on January 2?

Perch showed what he'd learned on Sunday afternoon, if someone motions to headbutt you, go down and get them sent off. It ain't pretty, but it's effective. The fact that Reina now misses a cup semi final against Everton makes this so much better.

He has indeed, and it's been reported as a 17-year old from County Durham; Northumbria Police are investigating as it has been reported to them, under the same law as that which saw Liam Stacey jailed for 56 days.

As this lad is 17, he may get an easier ride of it though.

More importantly, Liverpool being at a disadvantage for a few games benefits Newcastle. Reina deserved to go and Perch made sure of it. A goalkeeperless Liverpool won't be closing the gap to Newcastle.
