So what have we got now?
So what have we got now?
I thought it didn’t say Adidas on our shirts! Which I assume was copying from Nike not saying Nike on their shirts
Thanks ViktorTechnically we have the revision of that, where they drop the text. (Which looks much nicer imo)
Correct. Adidas did have the wording on until 2022 when a slight rebranding removed this. It will undoubtedly go back on again in a few years to make the current stuff dated and encourage more sales for people wanting the latest motif.I thought it didn’t say Adidas on our shirts! Adidas carry a couple of motifs simultaneously depending on their target market. Garms carrying the trefoil logo are considered more premium.

Think back to 1979/1980 Colin.Sorry for being dumb but what is a trefoil shirt as opposed to a normal shirt?
As I remember we had quite a good team back then!Think back to 1979/1980 Colin.
And the shirt to matchAs I remember we had quite a good team back then!
But they have starting doing that on trefoil logo now, but I think it looks better with Adidas on it like in the 70s/80s.Technically we have the revision of that, where they drop the text. (Which looks much nicer imo)
I think it's the nostalgia that does a lot of the heavy lifting. I must admit I do prefer it to the current motif and would pay more for it. Does that make me stupid for it? Probably yes.Controversial, but IMO the trefoil is the single most overrated thing in all of football shirt design
Definitely nostalgia. I'm too young for the trefoil (just) and I prefer the triangle logo. Not really overly fussed though, it's just a tiny logo, hardly a really important part of the shirt design. Also Nike have kicked Adidas off the park in terms of design and quality for at least a decadeI think it's the nostalgia that does a lot of the heavy lifting. When we qualify for Europe I hope we announce those type of retro kits for next seasonThe proper shirts have the old Adidas logo, so it's the badge for me. We won our greatest prizes wearing that.
