Along side the „Season Review“ thread, a thread for your favourite goal of the season just gone.

After all, goals are what football is about, and we all love a goal, do we not? Especially against the scousers, which is why Taiwo Awoniyi‘s goal back in October that beat them 1-0 is my favourite.

A scruffy finish, after his initial effort hit the post, but it was crucial as Forest came off the bottom of the table, and the big forward showed glimpses that maybe he would indeed be an asset at the top level.

So then, what‘s yours?

Rockabilly

GAFF LAD. "Open your knees and feel the breeze"
Wood against Man City.
The best team in the world didn’t get a sniff during that build up.

Taiwo’s goal v Arsenal is my personal favourite too.
Johnno’s 2nd v Everton at the WFCG was my runner up, but as Tiff says, the Taiwo goal was so vital and got us over the line, that is a clear winner by a country mile.

Rubics

Bin VAR!
Goal against city - little old Nottingham forest out “Peped” the best manager and team in the world that cost a billion quid to put together!
Must have rewatched it 50 times. Also think it gave a glimpse of what we’re capable of with a settled team and a bit of luck with injuries next year - we have some bloody good players.
MGW flick for Danny to finish was also great.
The delayed celebration due to VAR against the bin dippers - everyone in the ground thought it was miles off!

The best goal in isolation was Brennan's second against Everton, an amazing top corner finish on his wrong foot against the England keeper.

But there have been a few great counter attacking goals which I think typify the reason we stayed up. The best of that sort of goal for me was Danilo v Saints. We just need to do it more often as we clearly have the quality to do it.

I always prefer the well worked team goals to the individual screamers from distance, which is just as well as we've had none of them this season.

So for that reason I'm going to have to give it to Wood vs Man City.

If I was just giving one to the pure technique of the strike it's Brennan vs Leeds.

Other honourable mentions:

Lodi vs Spurs
Dennis vs Newcastle
Danilo vs Brighton
Mangala vs Leeds

And as a final footnote, this would be the easiest decision in the world to make if that Gibbs-White strike had hit the bar and gone in against Chelsea.

Kind of following ......
For me it was Sam's offside goal against Man Utd in the Cup. It was then I realised we did have the quality to do it, slicing through a Champions League side who were on form. We went on to do it again against Man City, Arsenal and the like. There's some real quality in our play it's just that up to now it only happens between 18 and 30% of the time 😂
Same as you my favourite actual goal was Danilo v Saints. Gibbs-White just filth and it was an instinctively cool finish with a lot riding on it.

"best" goals are between Wood (City) Dennis (Magpies) and Lodi (Spurs)

My favourite goal is either BJ (Leeds), BJ (Leicester) or Danillo (Brighton)

MGW would have been clear GOS had it gone in Vs Chelsea at home. Pure strike.

Good post. I’d forgotten the Dennis one. Absolute class

Fortunately as I haven't seen many live games, most of the highlights show several views of the goals we scored. And there weren't that many and most were scruffy or short range efforts.

So a great proportion of those we scored are mentioned as goal of the season.

I can't pick just one, as we scored so few in each match, that most were absolutely vital in getting us points, and as we squeaked over the line and stayed in the Prem, I'm just saying the whole lot qualify for goals of the season.
