IF NFFC were the club to destroy the EPL,how good would that be.

I want to say...that I'm sure our leadership, having taken the time to decide whether they want to appeal (rather than deciding straight away and making an emotional, some might say knee-jerk decision), have also considered and discussed with individuals around the table who have the relevant expertise, in an honest and factual manner, all the elements of the case and weighed all the risks against the possible benefits before reaching a considered decision - for better or worse.

...but that's not really how we're run, is it?
You could just imagine someone 'highly placed ' at Forest reading this very thread for ideas 😆😮
For the Premier League, fans are irrelevant. They are merely the background wallpaper to matches televised live, at huge cost to broadcasters (who will gladly pay for it) and supporters (who have no choice as what live matches there are, are all behind pay-TV platforms).

Football sold its soul for money in the 1990s.

We've had Byzantine and arcane already today - I like the erudite* tone of this thread.

Yes I love listening to people from all backgrounds and seeing their analysis on history and events. He's definitely worth a listen by everyone at some point.

I watch podcasts more than TV these days, Joe Rogan always had a few good guests every month and Lex Fridman. Long form conversation has thrived the last few years, it shows how starved of it we were. It's killed mainstream and shows how ridiculous they were. Guests having 10 minutes between 6 of them where the aim is to hit the biggest zinger or soundbite at the end is not the way to be discussing complex and nuanced social and political events
You sound exactly the same as me the only actual TV I watch is sports these days it's youtube and podcasts for me especially as i drive alot lex fridman and joe rogan are both ones i watch alot of also theories of everything with curt jaimungal is very good too.
As for mainstream TV I don't miss it one bit

I was at High Pavement Grammar (in even sunnier Bestwood) and we did two years Latin and a school song entirely in Latin.

Latin, about as much use as algebra. Who the f*** adds letters up? I have enough trouble with bleeding numbers.

I struggled with the O Level maths course, but did ok in the exam.
I was told I should do Maths A Level (Pure with Statistics).
I got my A level, mainly because I was very good at Stats.
Pure Maths remains a mystery to me.
I virtually gave up when, after all my life I'd been taught a a positive number multiplied by a positive number gave you a new paositive number, as did multiplying 2 negatives, and in my first few A level sessions the teacher introduced us to an imaginary number , i, the square root of -1.
My linear thinking brain just couldn't cope with suvch bollox.

Bin VAR!
Just as bad - Manchester clubs will be able to spend £500m on wages and transfers, we’d be limited to maybe £100/140m ish.
With that sort of gap the current status remains for ever - divy everything up between the tourist clubs and everyone else fights to avoid being relegated.

Only being able to spend 70% of your revenue in transfer fees etc, is that better for Forest than the current rule or worse?
It’s no better, seeing as Arkwright‘s Corner Shop generates more commercial revenue that Forest does.
