Financial Fair Play (FFP)

Sky / Rob Dorset from the ground - club disapointed they haven’t heard anything yet. One day over when they were expecting to hear.
Unlikely to hear anything before Monday now due to Luton playing tomorrow and us on Saturday.
Lawyers expecting at most a point back.

May hear tomorrow about FA / Prem charges for the Everton fall out!

Not sure where to post this, but here seems apt...

Leicester are charging their fans £25 for a physical season card. The actual cheap plastic card..... Claiming it's for "environmental benefits"....

This is ridiculous, and surely just a way of giving their fans of more cash. It's actually disgusting.

Posting it in here as it's surely a way to "avoid" FFP sanctions but gouging the fans and is 100% something I can see is doing.

Stop worrying over getting a feckin point back and get 3 on a couple of match days, how about that lads? I know it's a noval idea, not sure it will catch on.

All this hyping up of the uncertainty isn't creating a good atmosphere inside the club. You have 2 games coming up where the focus should be 100% on giving your all to get a couple of wins, get 6 points and you are home and hosed. We should be on the beach by now, instead we're inching ever closer to beachy head.

Sean Dyche did exactly that.

Instead of whinging, appealing and complaining about how unfair life as a Premierleague Club is, we would have been better served doing what Everton did with their first points deduction and using it as a tool to get everyone at the club onside.

Basically, if they don't want us in the Premierleague, tough, we're staying up and sticking two fingers up to anyone that has a problem with it.

This club is built to be the f***ing underdog, that's why the promotion season and staying up last year felt so good. A club with a heavy past history but a disappointing 20-25 years, a passionate fan base and a maverick of an owner.

The fact that Nuno comes out today and says that we need to know the outcome of the appeal, says it all. All the focus should be on the next three games and securing as many points as possible, not wondering what points we'll get back.

Why does it matter? If we win every game, we stay up. Is the team all of a sudden going to relax if we get 2 points back? That would be the worst thing to do because it would be very Forest to get points back and still go down. Do everything you possibly can to win the next two and it's probably over then anyway.

Nuno can go in the summer, he's got absolutely nothing about him whatsoever. There's no aggression, there's no passion, nothing. He's a long-time sexless marriage in an Adidas tracksuit. We're going absolutely nowhere good with him in charge.

Lets be honest, if we'd sorted the set pieces and beaten the teams we should have beaten, we'd have been looking forward to next season and only moaning about the cost of the tickets. Instead of fannying about with appeals and deductions.
Are you insinuating that my longtime sexless marriage is a bad thing?

Other than that, I completely agree.

Someone put out the Timeline of the appeal and the verdict announcement would be w/c 6th May, so obviously they were correct

Anybody lucky enough to have a Times subscription can read about Aston Villa attempting to try and get the loss limits increased for the final season of PSR in its current format. I’m stuck at the paywall but read just enough to see it suggest it will obviously ‘rile’ the already punished clubs 😐

Edit: they raised it at the Premier League shareholders meeting on Monday, and want it raised from 105 million to 135 million. If that is agreed to, then what on earth happens with the current deductions, particularly if the appeal fails!

Presumably nothing, as we breached the rules as they stood at the time.

but it would be changing the rules covering that period in which we breached. Only way it’s possible for this to be changed would be if they made it that for the first 2 years Of the 3 the limit is 70mill then the 3rd 60mill on its own.

too much scope for them screwing everything up and Leicester exploiting more loopholes.
not going to happen!

This whole farce has created a victim culture where we are blaming everyone else but ourselves for our circumstances.

We overspent. We got punished.

Referees are shit. But we can't control that.

Our performances on the pitch have simply been nowhere near good enough. We can control that and that's what the focus should be on.

Instead we are sulking like teeenagers and shouting ITS NOT FAIR.

I cant bear that attitude this year. We have had it a lot easier than Sheff U, Burnley and Luton and yet we play marginally better than them. AT home against Sheff U, Burnley and Luton it was pitiful even though we had all the things in our favour. Manager with more time, spent more and been in the premier league for a year. Our peers should be Fulham and Bournemouth and just look at them compared to us. We are first and foremost the major reason why we are where we are. The refs thing is a complete misdirection by a board who knows they fecked up everything, Fecked up FFP, fecked up recruitment and didnt get the right manager in. Maranakis is the major problem this season not refs.

It's all very weak and very Derby.
