That’s a shame.
Always came across well and obviously did a great job there.
They’ve had some bad luck on the pitch recently and I think if they we& r patient they’d have been alright.

He did. I was thinking too of the year we sacked Calderwood and went up to thrash Man City with John Pemberton as caretaker.

Midfield is the toughest area to pick for me - I agree that we could do with not using Yates and Dom for this one, I'd prefer not to start Danilo, so he can get a carefully managed number of minutes later on and I'm not convinced we'll pick/be allowed JWP because of the 'cup-tied' issue it creates - so that doesn't leave a lot of options.

JWP being cup-tied won't matter after Villa knock Wetspam out on Friday night.

Well we won’t be faffing around with replays even if we wanted to as the powers that be have “improved” things (for which read “done what they can to help the richest clubs”) by scrapping them.

Had completely forgotten they'd scrapped the replays. Regardless the point still stands, start fast and get the game won by halftime so that we can then just manage the 2nd half and keep as fresh as possible for Tuesday.

As Luton will not be returning to the premier league any time soon they will always be a team that we have never defeated in our current stay in the league so this is an opportunity to right that particular wrong. This will then be the 5th straight win against teams we have never won against in the league since our return

I think it will be tougher than the general opinion on here.
Edwards may have rotated to protect players for this seasons relegation scrap but the caretakers probably won’t (Harford may have a longer term outlook). Whereas we will not play anyone starting on Tuesday.
They will lump in forward and be dangerous at set pieces with the two forwards and McGinnius who is a big lad. Maybe 3 centre backs to play particularly as we won’t have a 10 if Jota wide.
Got to feel sorry for Toffolo or Moreno as it seems likely one of them will miss out on getting in the reserves.

Middlesboro were raving about him when we had Djedd in the promo year. What a come down!

I remember when they beat us on Boxing Day a few seasons ago and he was outstanding for them. They even offloaded Spence ‘cos of how highly they rated him.
