Looks like ive missed the pre-registration but trying to join the ESTC just sends you round in circles.

I'll just rock up and watch some random games I suppose :ROFLMAO:
Unless you’re prepared to pay through the nose (i.e. for expensive seats or hospitality) you might struggle.

There will apparently be another tranche of tickets released early next year, left over from those who were allocated some in the ballot not taking them up.

Joining the ESTC now will do you no good for getting Euro 2024 tickets anyway. Members need to have been to at least one game during the qualifying campaign to even be in the ballot for tickets. To have a good chance of getting tickets via ESTC (i.e. without having to go into a ballot) you would need to have been to maybe 10 or more England matches over the last few years.

Fair enough, makes sense I guess.

Decent interview here with tournament organiser, and Bayern and Germany (and VfB Stuttgart) old boy, Philipp Lahm:

The draw for Euro 2024 is today, in Hamburg‘s Elbphilharmonie.
Indeed. I will be watching with several tabs open on my laptop ready to book flights as soon as our group and position in the group is confirmed.

I'm planning on going to one group game (and maybe back out there for a couple of knock out games)

If England are C1 or C2 I may well pick you're brain about where's good to stay for a couple of days as I assume City centre hotel prices will get a bit silly...............

Draw ceremony starts around kick off doesn't it? So after all the fluff I don't expect the draw to actually get done until after the match finish ;)

They will indeed, but to be honest the public transport is so good round here, you’re never that far away from anything - even the airport is only 30 minutes from the central station on the tram.

If you end up coming to Stuggi, ping me a message and I’ll give you some tourist hints!

Group B the proper „Group of Death“ there.

Nice draw for the Germans, as well; I‘d fancy them to get out of that Group, but they need to find a striker from somewhere.

Yes, tricky one for the champions there, though of course Italy didn't make the last WC.

Time to avenge that 5-3 from the last Euros methinks lol

Am I correct in saying that although the fixtures are now available, the location is yet to be decided?

Some fixtures are already „Fixed“ (ha ha!); Germany will face Scotland at München‘s Allianz Arena, for example, to open the tournament, and of course, the Final will be held in Berlin‘s Olympiastadion, a venue much beloved of, well, you know who.

I *think* there are still some questions depending on the playoff results, because I have not yet seen locally a list of every fixture and every venue, although it was my understanding that pretty much everything was planned (according to Tournament Director Philipp Lahm, anyway).

Sorry, who?
He who cannot be named.

(No, not the guitarist from the Dwarves).

Berlin‘s Olympic Park and stadium were designed and built by Albert Speer, for the 1936 Olympic Games, under the German government of the time, which was of course headed by the Nazi Party and their Chancellor, Herr Hitler, who is not a subject of polite conversation.

Whoa, didn't know there was such a history...
I knew Nazi Germany had hosted the Olympics but it didn't occur to me the Olympic Stadium of Germany would have been built then.

Ticketing News: it’s finally been announced the details of ticket requests for Euro 2024; there are a total of 1.2m tickets available for the competition, UEFA announced that in the first ballot phase in October, there were twenty million individual requests for tickets.

Yep. Twenty million requests for 1,2m tickets. A further ten million requests have since been made by fans of the qualifying nations (10.000 per match are reserved for each of the participating teams‘ fans, so there’s a total of 30 million requests gone in for tickets, exceeding the number of requests for the World Cup in 2006 in Germany.

UEFA says there may be a further release of tickets in January (as those allocated in the first ballot that „winners“ don’t take up will be returned and can be resold.

I wonder how many of those twenty million were from bots and/or touts? Something we'll never know of course but I'd be willing to bet it was a sizable amount........

Funnily enough, the media piece made a big splash of then preventing bots and touts from getting tickets.

I’m not convinced, to be honest.
