Probably get a chance to impress Nuno in the pre season for CHO/Elanga backup, option up front etc.
With what Nuno squeezed out of Origi (wasn't much, but at least he looked OK in odd games), and how he transformed Wood, we can at least have some hope that he may be able to get something out of Dennis too.

I know that Nuno that I know that Nuno that I know
Dennis struggled with the SC Block. Hopefully the less rigid way that Nuno plays will suit Dennis more

I think Dennis will get his chance, although that might depend on bonuses for playing, to be paid to his previous club.

As it stands, we are more than likely to make a loss on any sale.

Our best bet (if he doesn’t show any improvement) is to include him in an Anderson / Vlachula style swap deal.

30m for Gnonto….15m for Dennis.

I may be deluded but I still think there’s a player there.

He scored a decent number of goals in a shit relegation side before we got him. He needs a bit of trust and be allowed to express himself without fear of being bombed out for giving the ball away
There is a player in there, but he won't get the chance to show it with us.

Best outcome for everyone is he gets a fair crack at preseason, impressed Nuno and provides some much needed cover in our front 3 area. He can play through the middle or either side, and with a bit more fluidity and creativity that the Nuno system is allowing us I suspect he’ll have better numbers

There is a player in there... he needs to become a team man and not a lone-wolf.

Every window we have these same comments about Dennis getting a chance.

He’s wank. Absolutely brainless and makes wrong decisions more often than not.

Best outcome for everyone is to get rid of him for more than his book value. The primary reason we were in a ropey PSR position this season was carrying too many large wages that contributed nothing at all. Get him gone and chalk it down as a dud transfer.

That's the thing with Dennis; he is talented IMO but his football brain is absolutely non-existent, and you can't get away with that in the Premier League.

Sad as I had high hopes for him after that decent season he had at Watford before we signed him, but I just don't see him ever coming good here.

We’re short of attacking options and until/unless that changes, he has to stay. As a nuisance to being off the bench after 70 minutes, I think he’s OK. I’d have rather had him than Origi in the squad last season.

Of course if we can upgrade on him, great.

I don’t overly disagree, we have seen him struggle here due to that lack of awareness.

But surely the fact he banged in 10 goals in his first season in the PL, as a 23 year old, demonstrates that he absolutely did get away with that in the PL?

I know I’m in the minority but I think he could be a decent squad player under Nuno if given a bit of freedom and an arm around the shoulder. There’s times we have been crying out for a bit of boldness and unpredictability. Especially off the bench

If he can do the Origi, Linguard role alone, he'll save us a few million squids.

No one will pay what we want for him given the original outlay, so more than likely will get a pre season with Nuno.

I'd keep him in the squad rather than another loan out and re-assess in Jan.

Again though (and I'm really repeating myself here so sorry!), when Nuno came in and said there was a huge need to rebalance the squad Dennis was immediately loaded out.

Seems pretty clear he isn't in Nuno's plans, given we were so light in forward players and that when we needed more we let him go.

I think he's a better option than Origi too.

I thought in that first season where he played a bit, if you gave him time to think about what he had to do he would bollocks it up. If he was acting on instinct then he seemed a decent enough player.

If we can't shift him for a reasonable fee then he's not the worst option off the bench.

I'd sooner have Denis Norden up front
Maybe not up front, I still could replace Arter.

If Nuno is looking at Dennis to contribute then it must be because he kind of likes what CHO does cutting inside and creating chances/scoring goals but would rather change things up and have someone cut inside, lose possession and do absolutely nothing to get the ball back or just be offside in the first place to save any wasted time on hope or ambition.

He isn't worth persisting with for us, genuinely think the best we can hope for is that we loan him for the remaining years of his contract and that that covers the cost of his wages and fee.
