Nottingham's dirty secret
Have him & Taiwo ever played together at international level?

One things for sure, with these 2 and Wang signing we're going worldwide baby.

As I posted earlier, the story was broken in a UK tabloid paper on Monday.

While I'm not fan of The Sun and I'd always advise caution, it the biggest selling daily paper here if you want size as a form of substance...

I hadn't seen that. The article leaves Murphy out of the picture, which makes little sense to me. If Marinakis senior or Marinakis junior tried to impose players nobody else wanted, then one would expect Murphy to be the one who protested first. Anf neither the father nor the son know British football well enough to choose players, let alone impose them contrary to the manager's desires.

Yeah but GBG it's clearly obvious, Cooper has been saying in every interview we still need lots of signings - EM was unhappy with this and called him to visit his pad in London. He sat him down and demanded that he accepted a player that's 24 years old, would fit our system perfectly in an area which we are light & is proven in the Premier League. Cooper wasn't happy at all.

Its in The Sun, there's no requirement to make sense. I wouldn't be surprised if its mischief making tbh.

I only raised it to save the blushes of All Nigeria Soccer as I suspect they've picked it up from other sources, rather than making it up themselves.

Unlike in times past, we all know articles like this are complete bullshit and the moron journelist won't get the intended rise out of us.

Rob Edwards comes across very genuine and likeable and someone I'd like to see do well, especially after working his way up from the lower leagues and at a club like Watford who turn over managers quicker than they change their underpants.

Ah, it gets even funnier with the Nigerian account.

Onyekuru was one of the worse and most costly transfers we did last season. I am sure Marinakis would prefer to go on a strict diet than go out of his way to become personally involved in a deal with Onyekuru's agent.
The guy who runs it is laughing at the "Forest trolls" for not believing him & that he broke the Aribo to Southampton story, which he had the last laugh.

Well a few things:

- He linked Aribo with about 5 other Prem clubs, then when it came out that he was likely going to Southampton they claimed to have broken the story.
- Looking through the account, they claim exclusives every few days but all they do is release 5+ articles every day rehashing stuff from elsewhere, then claim it was exclusively broke on their site when Fabrizio tweets about it.

They used the Daily Mail as a source a month ago for the Dennis transfer! https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=44193#.YtgFHSCXcRQ.twitter

The people who write on the site also write on other weird websites which just rehash transfer rumours. I can't be bothered to dive deeper but that was just 5 mins of looking.

There was once an African site that insisted that a universally unknown young player signed a contract with us. Oly journalists reported the story, although sceptical about it. Then the player posted a picture in our headquarters, so everyone thought the story was genuine. It turned out the player's agent had travelled to Greece with the player hoping to find a team for him. They went outside the headquarters and took a picture with the club's crest. Nobody ever heard of him since.
