Here we go then, the last proper preseason friendly; Forest travel to Germany to visit Eintracht, who are not in competitive Bundesliga action until August 20th.

I have absolutely no idea what team Forest will put out, but I’m pretty confident Eintracht will field a decent side (they usually do).

Anthony Elanga apart (who im expecting to see play) Forest haven’t troubled the transfer market that much so far, but let’s be positive and hope for a decent showing from the Reds.

After years of imploring the club to arrange a preseason friendly against crack German outfit, VfB Stuttgart, it turns out Forest have instead ended up an hour and a bit down the road in Frankfurt, so - of course - I’m going to be there; no idea how many other Reds will make the trip, but we will all be in Block 20, if anyone else is also attending, come and say hello you can’t miss me, I’m the skinhead who dresses like Herr Flick of ze Gestapo.

(seriously the weather is not looking summery for Frankfurt tomorrow, so I‘ll probably be wearing my Forest hoodie).

If there isn't a positive reaction from the playersafter the Rennes Massacre, which of the following 3 options is most likely:
1 The players are under instruction from SC to amble along and not get hurt, or knackered out;
2 The players are pissed off that they haven't had their bonuses from last season;
3 The players are simply not good enough individually or as a unit to compete against strong opposition.

Or is there another reason?
Personally, I wonder if the mental and physical energy expended keeping us up last season has drained the players' batteries to such an extent that they cannot get sufficient energy they were able to tap into last season.

I'd convinced myself it was Eintracht that knocked Forest out of the inter city fairs cup in 67 but after checking the record it was Zurich who knocked them out on the away goals rule. I went to the game too, bloody memory is shot to bits.
