I found it weird the way he was suddenly exiled to be honest. Played the first half against County in pre-season, then not taken on the trip to Spain, not seen again in pre-season, even though I seem to remember Hwang being our only other forward available other than Taiwo most of that time. Then binned off somewhere in Turkey, so clearly we weren’t inundated with offers.
I know he wasn’t popular with the fans, but something else must have happened there.

Oh now I can't unsee this. I'd give that Ribeiro a go for at least one half vs City, the jeopardy is low so no one is going to blame Nuno in case it doesn't go as planned. At least we have an option on the kid, this one is a lost cause.

Shelvey was worse.
We gave him 75k a week until 2025. Then had to buy him out of his contact as we f**ked up the loan numbers, so gave him best part of 8m to f*** off in September 2023, 8 months after he signed.
Add into that, the extra 4m for 24/25 now counts against this year's FFP calculation

I've just looked at his contract and saw the worst sentence I've seen for a while... "On 5 July 2022, Origi signed for Serie A club AC Milan on a four-year contract."
Milan have already played the money bags Prem loan card so that's out, and they played a 16 yr old this year rather then have him back.
