Demise of Everton

We could have done with Frank hanging on for at least a few more games to cement their position at the bottom. 🤣

They are a shambles but still a big club, the new ground will be a game changer. Their fans deserve a good owner who can really take them forward and kick on.

Obviously this year if they are one of three below us I’m happy. But I’d rather see them stay up as premier league a worse place without Everton.

I read that Danjuma did his medical, photoshoot and some social media bits, expected at training this morning but actually travelled to London to sign for Spurs.

Has he broken them!?

Everton were always regarded as a top 4 club back in the day.
However, their fortunes have declined in the last 25 years or so as money-laden clubs such as Chelsea
and Manchester City have muscled in.
I expect them to revive at some point-they are way too big a club to struggle forever (especially with
a new stadium in the near future).

I do think if they somehow manage to get a decent manager in then they could pull away. But it's a big "if" they've only won 3 games so far and would need at least another 6 wins this season to stay up. Next 2 games being Arsenal and Liverpool, it's gonna be a big slog for them.

They're in deep shit. Deep, deep, deep shit.

Owner wants out, unrealistic price tag on an asset which is debt laden and on the verge of losing 50% of it's revenue. Instructed Deloitte to oversee the sale, no one really running the football element of the club either now Lampard's gone - literally no leadership at any level. Players going AWOL, potential managers deciding maybe it's not in their interest to take the job.

It doesn't take a stretch of the imagination that they might end up doing a Portsmouth.

Hopefully they get relegated & go bust and then the new stadium gets knocked down and replaced by a Costco & a Greggs
More likely to be a Beauty Salon and a Nail Bar.
