If y'all are still up drinking after the Denmark game today, watch Canada take on Argentina in the opener of Copa America, from the legendary Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta, Georgia in the US of A. I am thinking we lose 5 or 6 nil. But maybe the Argies underestimate us and we beat them 4-0.

I’ll be watching the Costa Rica games to see how Aguilera gets on. The Colombia v Brazil group game also.

I think I saw a few clips of the Argie/Canada game, and Canada seemed to be rather unlucky. Perhaps I wasn't paying sufficient attention, an unfortunate trait of mine.

Nah Argentina barely tried. We were awful. They could have easily scored 6. One of our key chances was offside, which the highlights don't articulate.

Both Turner and Horvath in for USA today (Turner went off at ht with an injury). 2-1 Panama late. Weah sent off for VC in the 18th minute lol.

Canada plays Chile right after the Germany-Denmark game is over. I fully expect a huge level of shithousery in this one.

Nervy 0-0 and into the knockouts?
Yeah we made it somehow. Chile had a player red carded in the 18th minute for a second yellow (it was a bs second yellow, imho) but we didn't get a shot on target until the 81st minute, I believe. The ref and Chile have much history lol. We look formless and somewhat like Leeds when Marsch was there, busy but not terribly cohesive. Our best players are not performing. We've been awful so far. Flattering to deceive, as the saying goes.

Anyhow, we beat Venezuela in the quarters and we, like England, are in the semi finals, against Les Argentines. Canada=England. Except we have better beef and nicer summers. I think Argentina are going to pummel us.

Messi wandering around doing nothing 95% of the time.
You say this like it’s a new thing, but he’s been doing that for twenty years, and then - in that 5% window - he just simply conjures up some magic that perhaps no other player can, and wins you the game.

He's REAL lazy now in MLS. Then it is 99% now. Messi always had a good work ethic before. I know he is old now, but I watched an Inter Miamiville game a few weeks back and he , quite literally, stood right on the center mark for five full minutes and didn't move. Like, not at all. I was killing myself watching it. A f***ing corpse.
