For George (and anyone elses benefit who are away from a computer for a while) it may be an idea to have a 'sticky' topic in the Forest Chat Forum for any updates - this would be any confirmed transfers and match results - with no discussion or opinions. It could be a 'one stop shop' for people to catch up without haveing to trawl through hundreds of unread threads?

It could also be used for those absent to write questions/requests for updates (replys to be PM'd or posted elsewhere?)

Only official confirmed news on signings etc please - no rumour mongering!

New Loan Signing

Nottingham Forest have today (Friday 7th January) signed Southampton midfielder Yoann Folly on a month's loan.

The French Under 21 international is expected to make his debut in tomorrow's F.A. Cup third round meeting with Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

Folly will take the place of another loan signing, Shaun Derry, who is ineligible for the Cup tie.

The 19 year old joined Southampton in July 2003 from St. Etienne for £250,000 and broke into the first team at The St. Mary's Stadium in the closing stages of last season.

However, Folly has made just one first team appearance this term - on the opening day of the campaign against Aston Villa.

Megson took charge of his first training session today (Wednesday 12th)- commenting that "Any manager worth his salt can't wait to get onto the training pitch" - or something.

That better? I just wanted to feel part of something... ;D

Gary Megson's first game in charge is likely to attract a bumper crowd - for Saturday's game against Millwall, Forest are offering 'kids for a quid'.

Bargain really, I'm thinking of getting a few, get them to do the dishes and help out with domestic tasks.

After Harry Redknapp's comments of his expectation to be outbid by Tottenham for Andy Reid, Gary Megson reitterated that they had only accepted an offer from Southampton. As Only Southampton have permition to speak to Reid the choice is simple - it's Forest or Southampton.

Nobody else is involed.
