I wouldn’t be averse to this one, IF it was half the 45 million suggested and as long as he passes his medical (obviously). He would clearly enjoy playing with CHO and Alina again, from their Chelsea days and 100 goals in 300 appearances is decent.

Don’t mind me, just manifesting this…..

Roma would take 25m euros apparently, including addons. Thats a little over 21m quid all in.

Loan with option to buy; get it done Miltiadis.

Surely a much smaller risk than the Mexican lad, who only seems to score past National League level keepers?

Isn’t he injury prone though?

Don’t want our striker options to look like this…

He’s come back off an ACL last year but that aside actually has a good injury record throughout his career.

It’s always a risk after a serious injury, but it didn’t stop Ruud van Nistelrooy being an absolute goal machine after he did his ACL. Man Utd were actually due to sign him the season before they did when he did his knee in.

Deadline day is approaching, not much interest in him, Roma want to move him on. Surely there’s a deal to be done there on a loan with option? If he’s a flop, we’ll have spent what we spent on Origi last year; if he gets back to his best, we have a 60 to 70m pound centre forward on our hands.

Fair point. The last line of that sentence would be incredible if it came true, but the other highlighted bit makes me think it’s a real long shot.

It’s pretty moot anyway as we haven’t been linked with him. It’s just me banging the drum.

If we keep getting rejected by targets though I’d be surprised if he’s not somewhere on our list. Probably too far down though.

One year older than Nketiah. Tonnes more goals everywhere he’s been.

Relatively robust before ACL.

Could play alongside Wood

I’d love him.

I think if we could keep him relatively fit and give him the service, he could be our Watkins/Toney but for whatever reason, we're not even interested.
It's a bit different for us here as well because he doesn't have to play every minute of every game so he could be managed a bit better.

That said, pointless me saying any of this cus we're not arsed. 😂

I may be stupid here but I’d go all out to get this guy in. I know the prices mentioned are nowhere near comparable but it’s got a CHO feeling about it. As in He needs a reset and if it works we could be sitting on a goldmine.

can remember the time a young abraham scored a hat trick against forest for villa in a 5-5 draw. That was also the match that lolley looked like a 15m player.

Has been hugely underwhelming for several seasons. Wasn’t a starter when fit and isn’t he going to west ham anyway?

The West Ham link is a weird one. Some journos are adamant they are in talks and other journos adamant that there is nothing in it and West Ham have no money left.

Respected journalists on both sides too, not Ekrem types.

BUMP!
Agent putting out that we are negotiating with him to sign this chap in the summer.
Personally, I think his best years are well behind him: 28 in June, and still trying to get back to matchfitness after a ruptured ACL.
I think there are better options...

Incredible talent and could over the wing in our system, too.

But goal return this year is awful. Not watched enough to know if he’s done or just struggling for form. Still only 27.

I’d take a punt on him at the right price, though.
